Old Sci-Fi Movie

Looking for the title of an old sci-fi movie. 60s, maybe 70s. I believe it was in black and white.

Plot:
Group of people/scientest travel underground in a sort of drilling machine. Pop up in some underground lake, where there are dinosaurs. One of these dinosaurs takes the vehicle someplace, and they have to go get it and stop the dinosaur to escape. I remember one scene where the African Guide gets stepped on by the dinosaur and all that is left is his necklace.

I tried all the "journy to the center of the earth", "Land of the lost" searched. But those dont seem to fit the bill. Let me know.

No, I remember this one. Not the one I am looking for it.

I read the book (it was written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, who also wrote books like "Tarzan", and "Tarzan at the Earth's Core").

I always thought it would have made a perfect pulp sci-fi movie. Good to know it did.

Could it be one of the "Journey to the Center of the Earth" movies loosely based on the Jules Verne book?

Nope, looked into all those also.

    Two key features are:

    1. Vehicle travels through water, not through the ground. This is why they need to return it to the lake.
    2. The african guide is killed by getting stepped on, with just the necklace remaining.

Thanks again for all who have made a suggestion.

The op's description really reminds me of The Last Dinosaur.

I may have to see The Earth's Core just for some Grand Moff Tarkin action.

    Fantastic.

I found this by googling for "dinosaur drill movie". Luckily google didn't give me any results that would win me a call from IT.
