The assortment of demons in Eden are pretty nasty, including a Nyarlathotep or two.
Why there's multiple demons of the deep in Eden, who knows.

Within the chaos, the peace has been lost, but we demons
and you humans have both gained true freedom. And of course,
that means that you now have the freedom to work toward
reestablishing the peace, if that is what you desire.

under the domination of any other!

Huh. That was actually a pretty pleasant ending. Other SMT games have conditioned me to expect a more bittersweet ending, but no.
Also, I think YHVH's big failing here (other than being a genocidal douchebag) is that He's incredibly authoritarian. It seems He simply cannot comprehend that totalitarianism and violent anarchy are not the only two options available.
Oh, and letting Great Old Ones onto the Ark 2.0. That was probably a mistake as well. :P

This is probably the happiest ending in any SMT game I've seen. And Lucifer is genuinely interested in helping his people survive, not total demonic rule.
Also,I glanced at the Neutral ending on youtube. The Chaos ending is so much better.
The Neutral ending has YHVH curse Aleph and Hiroko for all eternity, along with their children's children and so on. Then it ends with the two of them rebuilding the world on their own.

Yeah, I've been trying to go back and see what I've been missing all these years having never played (and just barely heard of) any SMT game. I've heard this one's pretty much the bees knees, and now I don't have to slog through it to find out what's going on. Much obliged, since I don't think I'd have the patience to!

You know, I think the game shows a smidge obvious favoritism to the Chaos ending. Checking out the other two endings, it's definitely the longest and the happiest of the three.

Looks sharp. If you want, but Nocturne's a 90+ hour RPG; livestream might be a little beyond most people's patience.
I think screenshot is best, but if you plan to take it on, your call. I'll highly endorse it.
Also, fun fact: the SA LP of SMTII took 49 updates. We managed in 10. 8-)
That one had a lot more info and more detail on some of the sidequests, also picked the good ending.
Lucifer is still an asshat in this game. Oh sure the mutants and demons ended up all right but what about the vast majority of humans and all of the forces of law? Dead.
Neutral is the best ending of this game.

From the mutants perspective, you two are truly their Saviors.
Within the chaos, the peace has been lost, but we demons
and you humans have both gained true freedom. And of course,
that means that you now have the freedom to work toward
reestablishing the peace, if that is what you desire.
Come, let us go. Into the new world, one where no one suffers
under the domination of any other!

Also, I think YHVH's big failing here (other than being a genocidal douchebag) is that He's incredibly authoritarian. It seems He simply cannot comprehend that totalitarianism and violent anarchy are not the only two options available.
Oh, and letting Great Old Ones onto the Ark 2.0. That was probably a mistake as well. :P

Makes it sound like he's actually not at the top of the food chain there, and there's something else still controlling things. Wonder if that ties into the Nocturne Kagutsuchi/Conception thing?

No, I think what he is saying is while the people needs to believe in something, the collective will involuntarily will revive him. The people created him, not the other way around.
Talking about Nocturne, right? I've got it along with my capture card/etc. I've never played through it, I'm actually only at Matador but really would like to beat it. I could do a live stream and take snapshots along the way for each set, while you can give advice/choose decisions, or something.

Looks sharp. If you want, but Nocturne's a 90+ hour RPG; livestream might be a little beyond most people's patience.

Hey, I'm stuck at that asshole, too! I started playing DDS because of him. Thinking I really need to go and finish Nocturne, though.
That one had a lot more info and more detail on some of the sidequests, also picked the good ending.
Lucifer is still an asshat in this game. Oh sure the mutants and demons ended up all right but what about the vast majority of humans and all of the forces of law? Dead.
Neutral is the best ending of this game.
Screw the Messians. Bury them all.
