why do we wear jeans, t-shirts and shorts and sorta stick within that framework
well many people step outside of t-shirts and shorts
but I think comfort, convenience and price are pretty much the main reasons right there
I fuckin' love suits though

My latest acquisition was an ebay buy of trousers with no belt loops, but rather buttons for braces.
This made me absurdly happy, because fuck belts. I don't generally have any qualms with modern fashion, but I have a vendetta against belts for basically removing proper braces (not bloody clipons!) and the trousers to which you can attach them from the market.

depends entirely on what you're looking to do in terms of overhauling
honestly I have not entirely answered this question
I know I am going to need some work-suitable shirts, belts, pants, and ties for my new job, but blazers are not required, so I think for the most part I would want a few but mostly cotton for casual wear instead of formal (plus DC is too fucking hot for wool right now).
But I mean I could also use some more casual stuff. Everything from a few packs of white t-shirts from Hanes (regular and v-neck), to (maybe?) some raw denim jeans.
Honestly volume is not a huge concern for me so much as really enjoying what I do end up owning.
raw denim is always a fine choice imo but make sure you try it on in person. i've been screwed by buying raw denim online because the sizing is sometimes weird
if you're just looking to buy simple stuff like blue/white button-up shirts, nice chinos and jeans, a pair or two of beater oxfords then $2,000 might be a bit high
buying a suit might put you somewhere in that range but even nice suits can be found at very affordable prices if you know where to look

Well uh
That is not counting
I have also budgeted for a D&G suit
I really shouldn't but I'll still be able to save about 3.5k from the time on the job, which isn't bad
These are my newest pair of dress shoes. Was getting sick of black so went for something different, but only in a subtle way.
I wanted to buy these, but they were a little bit too hard to justify paying for, even on special... around $300AUD I think.
edit: my other pair of nicer dress shoes are similar to this, only less rows of laces.

i know why people wear suits
but in day to day life, outside of mere comfort
why do we wear jeans, t-shirts and shorts and sorta stick within that framework
i acquired two pretty cool pairs of Generic Surplus sneakers from UO's online clearance a while ago
and
and this time i was smart enough to remember to order the right size and not forget that GS shoes run like a whole size big!

Marked down from $228 to $98
I would not spend $230 on shoes barring a lifestyle truly alien from the one I could possibly lead in the next ~10 years, but I would spend $100.
i bet they'd look really nice in brown

Yeah they are a bit shiny.
Nice thing is though I see shoes like that pretty much non-stop on gilt.
That Italian shoe-maker they had last week was fucking incredible
I hope they bring them back when I have money
it seems like shoes had it easy
it could be novelty or function but people were always willing to branch out with footwear first
like them big fucking sketchers with the big ol' bottoms or the pump reeboks, or hell light up sneakers. crocs? crocs are you fucking kidding me?
Those Coles, they're on Gilt? Right now?
*checks*
OH FUCK.
Oh fuck this is.. the worst possible timing. Oh fuck I'm budgeting for two vacations.
I can afford it, I'm sure, but oh fuck the timing.
Oh fuck but they're so nice.
Fucking brogues!
Steam: Chagrin LoL: Bonhomie
UGH I KNOW IT'S THE WORST
gilt always has the best sales when i don't have any fucking money to spend!
it's UNACCEPTABLE
tumblr | instagram | twitter | steam
So I'm due, right?
Steam: Chagrin LoL: Bonhomie
AUGH
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
i'm surprised you've made it this long without buying another pair to be honest
tumblr | instagram | twitter | steam
they're sold out already
Edit: Oh fuck. Well. Damn.
Steam: Chagrin LoL: Bonhomie
There are other Coles still available though! And more shoes starting tomorrow from a different brand that look interesting
Ah well, I'll just wait for tomorrow I suppose.
Steam: Chagrin LoL: Bonhomie
Over the next three months I think I can reasonably budget about $2,000 to that end
does that seem reasonable? Lower? Higher?

unfortunately i also like having money and space

cause a lot of dudes can't pull off that super sleek ultra modern thom browne-y look and look like tools as a result when they try

so you have something to eat when you get tired
I don't look great in traditional suits
I look like a little kid wearing his dad's clothes or something
Generally, in all things, the slimmer and sleeker the clothing is, the better it looks on me
as long as you've got a body type that lends itself well to that type of cut and make sure it fits you well you should look like a million bux
you better get some ballin' shoes and cufflinks to go with that suit, though
and your tie better be the FINEST SILK
tumblr | instagram | twitter | steam
Yeah, my body type is pretty much slim-fit ONLY. And I do tend to look quite good in a slim-fit suit.
oh yes definitely
You can just throw them in the washing machine then hang them up to dry

Maybe on some trails in the mountains 'round here.
Gonna need to start doing some barefoot walking before that though to get my feet and legs used to it. Hmm.

I WILL GIVE YOU CASH MONIES.
Satans..... hints.....
They were selling here for around $350 each, but I got both pairs shipped from England for $270 total.
and
i am the height of fashion. i can't wait for my meeting.
"Think of it as Evolution in Action"
Wow, good work. They look pretty nice. And solid. They'll last you forever if you take good care of them.
I may own a few pairs.
Yes. This is a thread relevant to my interests.
