Because when a rogue builds up combo points on one target and uses them to blow up another target that's bad. When a ret does it, it's working as intended.

Yes. Exactly. The Paladin is designed around doing that and the rogue isn't.

Why is this so hard to understand?

It's not a bug, the rogue is designed to not be able to do this. That's the INTENT.

    About the model update discussion:

I'm actually not very optimistic about their remodelling of the original 8. I'm quite certain they'll do it at some point, but I just have a sinking feeling that they're not going to see the amount of love that Goblins and Worgen are. Kind of like the starter areas. They're redoing them all, but the Goblin and Worgen areas are completely head and shoulders above any of the other revamped starting areas. The only one that can even compare are the new Echo Isles, but that's only 1-5.

I don't imagine too much of a difference to come about when they get around to remodeling the original 8 races. But it's a bone thrown out.

As for the zones themselves, that's the sort of thing that'll have to remain a dream. Every zone in the vanilla game could benefit tremendously from the WotLK / Cata era graphics and art work they're dishing out.

Edit - Really, the races that'll benefit most from the remodeling will be trolls, the undead, and maybe night elves.

I don't know what I hate more: healing as a non-ICC lvl 80 or tanking as a non-ICC lvl 80. Or perhaps it's that I hate the way the Dungeon Finding system is set up in that it rewards people (with speedier ques and more gold) who go the random route - and then swiftly punishes them by placing them with over geared people who expect you to be on their level.

I was in a Pit of Saron group with a 4K Death Knight who couldn't hold aggro to save her life. She drops group after Garfrost, and I proceed to switch to tank spec - my gear isn't "great", but I'm not rocking all blues either. Had 63% damage reduction, 512 defense and about 28K health buffed, so I'm thinking - "Might be a bit of a workout, but it beats waiting a half hour for another tank to show up." Healer promptly says: "No you NEED at LEAST 4K to tank Pit of Saron." I say, we can give it a shot and see what happens, or we can wait." His response - we wait. I laughed and asked if I could be kicked from the group as I had no intention of staying and waiting around for a tank to show up, after waiting in que already for about a half hour.

This was Normal Pit by the way to put this in context.

This has more to do with GearScore being the burning spawn of satan, than the actual dungeon finder. The dungeon finder doesn't sit and try and place you with people with higher gear score.

Also, you can get well over 4K GS without a single piece of ICC gear. Well over.

I haven't gotten any ICC loot, and my shaman is over 4K and will heal a heroic all day and night. That wasn't the problem. The problem was this dummy thinking you need 4K to tank Pit of Saron Normal - which might be the easiest, most rewardingest instance in Wrath - which I thought was just ludicrous. If I had 4K's worth of gear (that was non-PvP), why in gods name would I be slumming it in a normal dungeon? I thought to ask that, but everytime I've had a conversation that relies on an understanding of GearScores specious nature - it turns into a "Dude just get epics," conversation or "Youre a faggy healer/tank/dpser."

The ability is in the subtlety tree (not that differentiating between rogue skill trees really means anything) but as far as I know, it's a base skill, not talented. I wouldn't be surprised if there were subtlety talents to improve it, though.

And no one is really sure how redirect works exactly, since they've yet to make it not totally broken. They've said you'll be able to use it on adds postmortem, which is, transfer the points after the previous target has died. Currently, though, either you've got a fraction of a second to make the switch, or the ability just doesn't work outright.

Ideally you actually want to kill them before they become Zombies because while they are peasants they are weaker and don't fight back.

No, but I do lose interest in questing fucking fast when everything is buried behind yet another barrage of boring kill/gather/fly all around quests. Or you're doing some quest line then suddenly it's a group quest and you spend half an hour spamming LFG for it to the wind with no responses because no one else is on this precise step of quest chain #374. I did some shit in Icecrown then got bored as hell, so I stopped. And then I didn't feel compelled to do that same shit on my other half a dozen or so characters after they hit 80.

Gears score is awful... got kicked out of a pug ICC group for only having 4850, and the guy does "only 5k+." I was the first person in his 10 man raid too. Unfortunatel, i pretty much have the best gear i can get besides in ToC or ICC, so if i gain gear score i would lose actual dps(I.E. getting hit rating trinkets instead of my current ones that are only ~170 GS). So i am kind of stuck content wise because nobody looks beyond that.
I used to not understand why people hated gearscore so much, but now i understand. If i uninstall will it also remove my cache of it or will others still see my old gearscore that hasn't been refreshed recently?

TBC: Alliance and Horde return to Draenor through the Dark Portal. They find a shattered world under assault from the Burning Legion. Illidan has built a stronghold on this world as well and is marshalling his forces, fearing the retribution of Kil'Jaeden for his failure to kill Arthas. Kael'thas is here as well....up to no good.

Fel Orcs have a stronghold in Hellfire peninsula...empowered with the blood of a captured pitlord, Magtheridon, and they serve Illidan.

Illidan's naga allies have a stronghold in Zangarmarsh swamp where they're draining the waters to create a new Well of Eternity.

The Blood Elves(new player race) who didn't side with Kael'thas have been rebuilding Silvermoon and trying to fend off the Scourge. Since it's apparent Kael'thas has abandoned them, they join the Horde. It's later discovered the Blood Elven order of paladins have captured a Naaru(an immensely powerful crystalline being of Light) and are tapping his power in order to empower their paladins. Long story short....they learn the errors of their ways and become true paladins eventually.

Some of the elves who followed Kael'thas to Outland become disillusioned and defect, becoming the Scryer faction in Outland.

Kael'thas, seeking a new source of power to fuel the magic addiction of him and his people, has sided with Burning Legion. Using ships captured from the Draenei he is attempting to siphon the very energy of Draenor itself, shattering the world further. After his defeat at Tempest Keep he shows up at the Sunwell and attempts to summon Kil'Jaeden into the world. The Naaru the Blood Elves had captured shows up here as well having fallen to darkness. Queue a serious ass kicking...Kael'thas is defeated and Kil'Jaeden is prevented from fully entering the world.

The Draenei(new player race)....good Eredar who did not join the Burning Legion...stole one of the ships Kael'thas had commandeered. Due to sabotage they crashland on Azeroth and end up joining the Alliance.

Eventually players defeat the threats in Outland...stopping the Burning Legion, Illidan, Kael, and the naga and fel orcs and return home to Azeroth where the Lich King is becoming much more active.

The Alliance and Horde forces head to Northrend to fight Arthas on his homeground. They find new allies, new enemies, lots of Titan artifacts and structures, and tons of Scourge. The Horde forces are led by the bloodthirsty Garosh Hellscream(you may remember him as that emo, whiny orc brat in Nagrand who never appreciated all the stuff you did for him).

Naxxramas is here, recalled by the Lich King to lay siege to an Alliance fortress.

The Scarlet Crusade is here, unwitting pawns of the dreadlord Mal'Ganis who hopes to use them against the Lich King. The Argent Dawn is present....now called the Argent Crusade...led by Tirion Fordring and here to fight the Scourge and bring an end to the Lich King. Death Knights(new playable class) who have broken free of the Lich King's control are here as well...seeking vengeance against their former master.

Players also find an Old God who is breaking free of it's prison and attempting to corrupt and subvert anything it can(including some of the Titan's servants who were left to watch over things). The earthen remain loyal to the Titans and steadfast in their given task but the Iron Dwarves have fallen to the Old God, Yogg Saron and they're up to all sorts of mischief.

The trolls of the Drakkari Empire, in a misguided attempt to fend off the Scourge and preserve their empire.... slew their gods in order to empower themselves. Not working out for them.

The Vrykul....a norse inspired viking type race that rever the Lich King as a death god and serve him are all over the place. They're apparently the progenitors of the human race on Azeroth. They've been asleep until recently. The Val'Kyr are female vrykul who have been found worthy and empowered by the Lich king. They are akin to the Valkyrie of norse legends. They judge vyrkul and decide which is worthy of the Lich King's gifts and which shall serve as mindless undead. They serve as arbiters and judges, fearsome guardians of the spirit world, and enforcers of the Lich King's will.

Malygos, the Blue Dragon Aspect, has started a war against the mortal races...seeking to eradicate uncontrolled use of arcane magic and if that means eradicating the mortal races so be it. He doesn't seem to have a problem with killing members of the other dragonflights to achieve his ends either.

The Lich King is thrilled with this development since it just means more bodies for his army and undead dragons are a nice unit to have.

The Black Dragon flight has continued to experiment with genetic manipulation of dragonkind, creating the Twilight Flight of dragons. The infinite dragon flight is still interfering with the timeline....and apparently being led by Nozdormu, the bronze dragon Aspect and guardian of Time.

King Varian Wrynn returns to reclaim the throne of Stormwind. He's not a very happy person. Bolvar Fordragon goes off to war. He will suffer a terrible fate. Saurfang's son does as well in the same battle.

Renegades within the Forsaken, led by the supposed defeated dreadlord Varimathras, betray the Horde/Alliance forces at a critical moment in Northrend, forcing the Lich King's retreat and decimating the Alliance and Horde forces gathered to fight him. Varimathras captures the Undercity, intent on summoning his master through a portal. Players are called upon to help recapture the city and stop him.

The players progress through Northrend, eventually assaulting Icecrown Citadel itself. It is here that the ultimate fate Saurfang jr. and Bolvar Fordragon is discovered.

Frostmourne is shattered. The Lich King is eventually slain. The king is dead. Long live the king. It is explained that so long as there is a Scourge army there must be a Lich King to control them. The animated, fiery corpse of Bolvar dons the helmet and becomes the new Lich King. He promises to be a good boy. Probably not a good idea in the long run.

In the deep places of the world, Deathwing stirs. The end of the world comes....
