    That's pretty cool

    one thing though: it's kind of hard to differentiate the arms- there's no real sense of depth
    it could be because of the density of detail in them

    True, I honestly don't know what you could do to fix it though.
    It's not really a big deal either way, it's not the the arms look like a huddled mass or anything.

    Probably just make the lines a tad bit thicker on the closer arm.

    Yeah i reckon thicken the closer arm, and simplify the other arm a little with less detail.

    The light seems to be coming through the window to the left and illuminating him as well as parts of the tubes (the rest of the tubes in shadow), but there's no corresponding shadow in the lit outline of the window on the wall. You could add that shadow of him on the wall, plus some shadow on his upper left arm - that would help distinguish it from the right arm.

    Other than that, it looks really cool.

    if anything make it all black under his arm/chest, like this:

    gives it a little more depth imo
