Why does everyones name have a number after it?
you give it the name you want and it auto generates a three digit code suffix

when you make your profile name, you get a number assigned to you that people have to use for adding you to their friend's list
you actually don't see it unless two people in the same game have the same name
it's basically a system so everyone can get the name they want without making it like XXX__sephiroth__XXX
instead for most of the time it would be sephiroth, and if people wanted to add you to their friend's list, you would just tell them your name is sephiroth.420

Well, it was a lot of them, I didn't have time to count.
I had almost 12 'lings.
Well this is the internet, I never expected exaggeration.
If you are on the defensive, your going to need about a 2-1 ratio on lings to marines. If you have room for a surround, not so much.
Right.
I couldn't put out more lings really, just didn't even have enough fucking larva.
as soon as your spawning pool is done, hopefully (unless you are all in rushing with lings or something)
the faster it comes, the better your economy will be
you're probably leaving lots of details out of the story here.

But seriously, play Protoss for a while. Then go back to zerg, then go WAGH ZERG EVERYWHERE BUTTONS.
We need more Zerg. When we did PA games in Phase 1 and 2 of the beta we only had 2 or 3 Zerg players.
I honestly feel intimidated playing Zerg. Is there a trick or a standard on how you should hotkey your hatcheries & queens?
edit: I think I miss tier 1 hydras the most, that used to be the backbone of how I played zerg in SC1, early hydras.
so I'm playing the campaign and so far this is pretty aces
normal difficulty is pretty easy, but I figure I'll play on normal to see how everything plays out and then replay on hard for achievements
but top notch game, and I don't get the people that are complaining the campaign is too "cliche"
I mean, it's not super original but it's very well executed and loads of fun
My system is generally to hotkey only my queens.
Each hatchery gets a queen. Whenever I want to look at my hatchery, I double-click the hotkey for the queen associated with that hatchery. This makes it a lot easier to remember to Spawn Larvae; the first thing I do if the Hatchery doesn't have eggs already on it is spawn larvae. Then I click-select the hatchery and go from there.
