In the interests of full disclosure, the Williams used a special ability that let us avoid the first shot fired against us when the Sarlaac attacked. I don't know if that's how we ended up doing a trench run but it's something to keep in mind.

The Cain find itself reeled towards the maw of the SARLAAC, which promptly begins shredding the Mercury-Class Battlestar. Farangu jumps into the cockpit of his own personal Viper and jets out of dodge before the whole ship is ground into fine particles, while Rawkking Goodguy disappears in a flash of blue light, reappearing aboard the bridge of the SARLAAC. All other hands are lost.
Cain destroyed by the Doom of Lithone.
Zandracon, Jason Todd, jdarksun and Mr. Defecation are killed.
The five Vipers all hit their afterburners and dive through the chomping mechanical mouth of the thing that just ate their command ship. Two of them mistime their approach and explode when they slam into debris from the Cain. The quickly catch-up with the Williams and form on it's rear.
5 vipers attempt to infiltrate the SARLAAC. 2 destroyed.
The Chief's science officer once again tries to redirect power from tactical to the helm, but this time his efforts are unsuccessful. The helmsman tries to make lemonade from those lemons, launching a HAVOK against the SARLAAC, but these weapons were not designed to punch through shields and it explodes against the Keter-class object's energy barrier to little effect. The chief engineer tried to give the missile some extra punch, but it was launched before an improved warhead could be fitted.
SARLAAC takes 2 damage to it's shields.
On the SARLAAC, the Spartan dashes to the bridge's ordnance console and his AI partner hacks into the ship's stores. It's loaded supply of exotic torpedoes are exploded in their tubes, but do no significant damage. They weren't apparently configured to destroy ships through sheer force.
The Williams is forced to make a series of radical turns in order to avoid being pulverized by ship-grinding equipment, but her helmsman pulls through – eventually taking a sharp turn at a t-junction leading directly to the center of the SARLAAC. The frigate enters a large chamber...
Han & Chewie meanwhile blast Delroland in his center mass. He tumbles through a doorway.
Delroland is incapacitated and sent to sickbay.
The SARLAAC's mechanical rings light-up after the Cain is digested. The ESN Chief no doubt detects a massive energy spike stemming from the ship.
Kay, capfalcon, captain marcus and Alegis rush back to the bridge from sickbay, while AdventFalls and Minor Second still need a little miller time.
Kay is no longer incapacitated.
Capfalcon is no longer incapacitated.
Captain Marcus is no longer incapacitated.
Alegis is no longer incapacitated.
A klaxon sounds throughout the SARLAAC:
WARNING! WARNING! CORE CHAMBER PENETRATED! VESSEL IN IMMINENT DANGER!
Aboard the Williams, a boarding party appears with a flash of blue light.
Boarding party assaults the ESN Williams
Earth Space Navy Command once again hails the SARLAAC with demands to have one of it's defector members, Kay, tossed into space. By this time most of he planet killer's crew are in fits of laughter.
“Okay. How stupid are these guys? Who wants to bet we can make 'em keep hailing us like this?”
Urgh, I can't get excited at all over all these taunts. I know for sure if I was good I'd be linking gurren lagann and trying to get everybody excited : (
