I wanted him, but he's going to be arrested I think. Maybe. That scared me.

Probably, I wanted his stats, but there is that risk. Plus, I think he is my least favorite player in the entire NBA. I'd like to think it doesn't affect my judgement, but it does. Which is why I picked Kidd and then immediately regretted it.

I made This Decision by shooting free throws b-b-b-blindfolded.

    chauncey-billups-blindfolded-150-1.jpg

Unfortunately that means I've landed with Chauncey Billups.

Thankfully, Chauncey will do his best to assuage my fears by mocking other, inferior guards.

    437292669_t220.jpg

One can only assume that Jason Kidd is mad, possibly outraged, in this photograph.

    kobe-bryant-chauncey-billups-2009-5-20-0-21-56.jpg

Kobe Bryant has developed a counter-strategy to this tactic, but, hopefully, using his palm to suck the mental faculties out of Chauncey should have minimal fantasy impact this upcoming fall.

Weird, I had Billups last year and I remember feeling that he was having a down year, but he ended up with a career high in points/game. I guess it's just that he's frustratingly inconsistent, he'll only have 5 FGA in one game and then drop 30 the next.

Damn you tinyfist! I had JJ lined up and ready, and you robbed me!

I even was ready to do a whole "10 things you can buy with $120 million" thing

    *shakes fist in the air*

That's it, you've forced me to throw all reason by the wayside!

I am now following the draft advice of this man!

    kahn_presser_292_0910.jpg

Screw "positions" and "categories" and all that other nonsense. Get out of here you guys, with your jive ass talk.

I know my team already has, and only has, two power forwards on its roster.

But I'm going for the most talented player on the board! How can I go wrong?

    david-west.jpg

David Moorer West please step up to the podium!

    chris-paul.david-west.jpg

Now please get along with Chris Paul. Keep him in town. Do what you have to to please him.

    nba_a_west_580.jpg

    And I mean please him

I'm hoping so. By all rights he should, he's clearly the most triangle-friendly, and best overall, player on their roster. I'm hoping that overrides the puzzling hatred Rambis has for him.

I thought about West, but they were only a couple spots apart on my rankings sheet and that was with Love under 30 mpg last year, so he had more upside. Plus David West annoys me for some reason whenever I watch him play. I can't quite put my finger on it, the numbers are there and he's pretty durable, and I don't have the same reaction watching other guys with similar styles like Duncan or Aldridge.

I dunno, with CP back I don't see how he doesn't average at least last year's 19/8/3 on 50% shooting(that he got with Darren Collison half the time) or more, which is pretty respectable. I think he'll be closer to 21/9/2 this year, like he was in '08-09

Most places online have him around 20th overall, so picking him 37th doesn't seem so bad

I did really want JJ though. The fact that he fell so far is entirely because of how much hate he got for signing a max deal. If he doesn't average 20/4/5 this season, I'll eat my cock.

I almost took west, and thought the same thing about Paul being back, but his numbers the previous year weren't noticeable different. I almost took Love with my previous pick, and in hindsight I probably should have. I had my heart set on either him or Billups for some reason.

I didn't expect to see JJ fall that far down either... maybe his horrible postseason worked against him? This changes my plans a bit, but he was just too good to pass up at 36.

Is there a way for us to find out what Yahoo has in terms of positional eligibilities?

Is there a concern where an owner might pick up a player thinking he was (for instance) a small forward but then finding out he's only a shooting guard... and that owner doesn't have any other small forwards on his roster?
