I have a very very hard time sitting with my back to the door in a restaurant/bar/etc.

My grandfather couldn't do, my uncles can't do it and neither can I. I get visibly uncomfortable. It's to the point where most of my friends and chelsea will just give me the seat or know better. Except for the one friend's wife. No no, she refuses because "it's just silly, what could happen?"

Phone is always in right front pocket, keys in left front, wallet in left rear.

    I iron t-shirts.

Hmmm...what else? I mean, I have things the way I like them in places like my kitchen, but I don't consider that a habit or a tick...that's just efficiently knowing that I can grab a knife from the block and know what I'm pulling out.

What the fuck, you're like backwards-man.

I'm the same as zip except wallet is in back right most of the time, but sometimes on left

    Maybe it's because I'm a lefty? Don't know.

That positioning never changes. If I have an ipod in my pocket it goes in with the phone. Change goes into the pocket with the keys. This is to keep shit from getting all scratched up.

Oddly enough though, I never talk on the phone with it against the right side of my head. Always the left.

Oh, okay, then you're completely okay. You're doing everything exactly right, in that case.

Wallet in left front pocket, keys and phone in right front pocket. I don't keep anything in the back pockets because I always worry about things falling out when I sit down. Or pick-pockets!

I also walk around with my thumbs hooked into my pockets, cause pick-pockets!

I check everything I've locked twice cause thieves!

I check the cabinets and the shower of every bathroom I use cause I have to be sure that before I commit to expelling waste there isn't something crazy gonna come jumping out at me.

I sleep on top of my pillow with my arms wrapped around it, face in pillow. If I'm trying a new nap spot I sleep with with my arms crooked around my head so that my head is resting on the left hand and the right arm locked into the left, covering my eyes.

I spend about 3 hours of my day pacing my room day-dreaming.

If I get really into a book I start rocking back and forth.

I walk on the front of my foot. Like, my stride bounces. It's weird, just the way I learned to walk.

I mean, it's normally only little frustrated outbursts like "Come on." or "Really?!", but I've caught myself muttering things I'm doing under my breath a lot, and oh god what if everyone thinks I'm completely strange?

aaat least you don't occasionally suffer from word salad like me!

I am pretty sure that what you do is normal

No, it's definitely objectively a lot more than my colleagues!

I hit doors with the back of my hand before I open them.

Also, any sort of pencil with a dull point pisses me off well beyond reason. That's why I refused to use anything but mechanical pencils in high school, and still do now.

I have a very specific hair/skin care routine and it irritates me if I have to deviate from it.

I wear moisturizer with spf on my face and neck every day, and if I expect to be out in the sun for any prolonged amount of time I wear it on any exposed skin.

I carry a notebook around all the time to write down stupid/funny things that happen to me, and I have one at work to specifically record all the weird stuff that people say and do.

I have to eat the fortune cookie before I read the fortune, and I save the good ones and tape them to my bedroom mirror.

    Pickpocketing is really tough

I have a friend who is fairly good at it

I can do a lot of sleight of hand and pick locks and all that, but I've never gotten the pickpocket down

Like that. Doesn't matter if I'm in a chair, on the couch, at a desk. In fact I am sitting in a half lotus position as I type these very words!

I modify it to classic crossed legs when I'm wearing a skirt, though.

I didn't know sitting like this actually had a name, huh. Pretty much anytime I sit down anywhere its either crossed legs or this.

    Oh right my habits.

I used to bite my nails, and I still do sometimes, especially if I'm really bored or stressed. I also tend to clean the underside of my nails with my teeth.

Going under a yellow or red light I kiss my palm and slap the ceiling.

I crack my knuckles a lot.

I tend to pick at scabs and cuts.

I used to chew stuff compulsively but I'm better on that almost completely now.

When I get bored I tend to take a lighter or pair of pliers out of my pocket and start removing body hair.

This. And often times the rest of my body shakes when I'm nervous or just laying down. I only learned of this a few months ago.

Also, I subconsciously mess with my hair so that it covers most of my forehead.

I used to reset the trip meter (the old mechanical ones) on my truck whenever I happened to notice it while driving. I was compelled to put it back to zero.

Then it broke and is stuck between some digits here and there. It doesn't move either.

So I guess that broke me of that tiny habit.

I only move my wallet to a front pocket when I'm going to some kind of large gathering of people, like a concert, fair, etc...

I'll also have the cash out of the wallet, tucked into the little coin pocket or below my keys/phone.

I'm starting to develop bad knees because I have such a hard time just sitting normally. I usually have to tuck one leg under me, or cross my legs or something, and it puts too much lateral pressure on them and they hurt a lot of the time now.

Oh, and I once got a fortune cookie fortune that just said "You will find fortune." Yeah, thanks, asshole.
