    EXAMPLE:

Proposition 301 (Mutable Rule): All players must post exclusively in pink fonts, in SE++, until such time as a winner is declared. Failing to do so will result in a 10 point penalty for each instance.

    or alternatively...

Proposition 301 (Immutable Rule): Any rule that will result in posting behaviors that could reasonably be expected to incur Infractions will be considered void.

No, I mean an example of a whole game. A link or something like that.

And I'd love to write in pink.

Just google "nomic games", PotU. I'm sure there are examples out there.

One of my real-life games went like so:
Turn 1: A rule was instituted regarding who brought soda to game night.
Turn 2: A penalty system was applied for breaking that rule.
Turn 3: A rule was defeated that required everyone to wear red shirts to game night.
    ....
Turn 20 or so: A rule was created that required us to play a game of Twister, and awarding the winner of the game 200 points (effectively making the entire Nomic into a game of Twister).

Sometimes, rules are more serious. Sometimes, less so. I am expecting this game to feature pretty silly rules.

So am I right in understanding that every turn will have thread, and last 24 hours?
Unless we make some new rules to change it?
If so then I am in.

Every turn will happen in this thread, and will take at least 24 hours, and possibly as much as 48.

The active player has 24 hours--starting at the score tally on the previous turn--to post his proposition, although there is nothing stopping him from doing it immediately. Then, there is a period of 24 hours set aside for debate, revision, and voting.

    Still down?

Yes. My concern was that it would happen too fast, not too slow.

Some simple questions with simple words: You can change immutable rules to mutable rules if everyone votes for it? And then you can just delete them?

And if it's my turn, are these the things I can do: "(1) the enactment, repeal, or amendment of a mutable rule; (2) the enactment, repeal, or amendment of an amendment of a mutable rule; or (3) the transmutation of an immutable rule into a mutable rule or vice versa."?

If I understand everything right, I'm in, even though I might screw everything up and get disqualified.

Yes, you can change immutable rules to mutable ones. This is called "transmuting", and it does, as you say, require a unanimous vote. Deleting or revising the rule is separate, and must be done on a separate turn.

So yes, it looks like you understand everything correctly.

    Added to list. :-)

This is undeniably interesting, and I'd like to play, though I'm not as clever as I like to think. When I play chess I just move random pieces hoping that I'll win. I may end up missing turns (or having to forfeit) if my work is bogging me down too much. This probably won't happen.

    I'm in.

OK, I'll start it off simple:

Proposition for IMMUTABLE Rule: In order for a vote to be considered valid, it must be posted in one of the following two formats. If it does not match this format precisely, the casting player is considered to have not cast a vote, and is subject to any penalties this may incur.

I vote in favor of the active proposition.

I vote against the active proposition.

To wit, the an affirmative vote must use the above phrase, in bold, lime text, and a negative vote must use the above phrase in bold, red text.

The rule hasn't been adopted, and you don't need to follow it, yet.

Which is good, because it would have to be LIME. ;-)

Also, I will add the current proposal(s) to the second post.

There ought to be a rule where you have to use the phrase "COCKS", or a word or phrase synonymous to it every seven letters.

ADDEMDUM : "(DICKS LOL)" must be used to finish sentences.
    like for example

"I have never been to St. John's COCK wood. I dare not. I should be PENIS afraid of the innumerable night of fir WANGS trees, afraid to come upon a blood MANSHROOM red cup and the beating of the SHLONG wings of the Eagle. (DICKS LOL)"

    No.*

*this statement is in relation to the proposed new rule, and is a vote against it. This vote is subject to change to "Yes" if said proposition is instead a mutable rule rather than immutable.
