So glad that this whole 80's Nostalgia thing is reaching the end. I can stop hearing about how the Transformers cartoon was The Odyssey of the modern era.
When I was little I wasn't into "boy stuff" (Transformers, Power Rangers, etc) but oh man did I love that Ferngully. I was basically born an eco-weenie.
And all the Disney movies, in their 90's heyday. I would see every one of them in theaters, with my best friend Katie, and then we would go out for pancakes at IHOP, and there would be something beautifully sad about watching the rain drip down the IHOP windows while the pop-styled end credits were still playing in our heads. Disney movies really got to me back then.
woah, someone mentioned the lost cities of gold? That was on back when I was like, 8 or so. I remember because I accidentally woke up at 6 in the morning or something and there it was, being all confusing to my tender brainmeats. I honestly thought I'd just dreamed up the whole show, glad to see it really existed. And as for David the Gnome, hell, who doesn't love lawn decorations smoking pipes on nick jr, back before there was a dedicated network for it. Being sick, home from school, watching random little kids cartoons because you're waiting for Ren and Stimpy to come on was awesome!
Also, you all have fucking failed to mention this motherfucker right here... and for that, you all are demonstrably wrong in everything you say and do.
I remember what the one with the glasses looked like.

Wishbone was goddamn fantastic.
I had a lot of the books. They split off into a bunch of different ones. They had the originals that were half and half, then the ones that were all in the real world, ones that were all in the book world. And maybe some others I forget.
I only watched Arthur because there was not much else to do at the time.
Wrong order - Transformers was The Iliad, Beast Wars The Odyssey, and the Michael Bay movies are The Aeneid - glorified fanfic with a heavy dose of propaganda.

Teefs, this is the line. You have finally crossed it.

I was more of a Magic School Bus kinda' kid. Because, fuck yeah Miss Frizzle!
Magic School Bus was kick ass.
This is widely regarded considered an irrefutable fact.
I didn't really mind.
What spring does with the cherry trees.
Miss Frizzle was the best, guys.
Also that black guy at the end of every episode was cool too.

What did she say? "Oh man, oh man, oh man?" Something.

Educational shows are the best.
I don't remember much about it.

It was not very good
That show fucked me up good.
I was convinced for months that Yeerks were real, and actively trying to get me.
I remember bits and pieces of it. Nothing too significant.
Oh, and we can't allow Clifford the Big Red Dog to go unnoticed.
Good dog, best friend.

Also Digimon and Rouruni Kenshin.

I had no idea what it was until I googled it and I watched this a bunch
Keith David has the most badass voice ever.
I don't know if RuroKen is something that can be classified as something appropriate for kids... o_O
Tell that to me and every other 8-10 year old who drank that shit up.
What spring does with the cherry trees.
This pretty much defined the 90s for me, video game-wise at least.
Well, wait, was it the original Japanese dub, or the English dub?
Because the English dub had way less blood/nasty shit than the Japanese dub.
