    I need some serious art motivation to get a blog header done for my sister. Should I put on something visually arresting that I've seen a thousand times before, or continue plowing through the back catalogue of Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes?

    the hard drive has magically begun to work again
    so that's great
    I'm debating whether to keep this new 250gb drive (Seagate Momentus- same as the original) I just bought and get a IDE/USB connector and use it for backup

    Just visited my friend in the hospital today (the one who had heart surgery). He's doing really well (he went through the 16+ hour operation last week), but there were [expected] complications and they had to relieve swelling through his leg, so now his leg is the main deal, and that will be what lets him go home or not the week after this one. He took pictures of the inside of his leg lol (AAAH but awesome) and the incision they made on his chest is so freakin' clean, there will hardly be a scar there. Fucking amazing, medicine/technology these days. He says he already feels better now, than he did when he was going in for surgery (there wasn't anything inherently wrong, but they were just "updating" a fix that they'd done on his heart when he was a kid....because he was born with a heart defect).

    After the past few days dealing with my incredibly angry/rude PMS-ing friend, and then visiting *this* friend in the hospital, I'm fucking emotionally drained. Jesus. Glad he's doing well, though. I'm going to make him a heart-shaped card with a band-aid on it.

    Is it just me or are infractions and bannings on this forum becoming ever more bizarre? Half the time I can't for the life of me figure out what the poster in question did wrong.

    Where did you see this banning take place?

    The person in question may have registered with a throwaway email, or PMed something nasty to someone, or said some racist shit that was subsequently edited, or gotten into an ugly argument in another thread.

    Or maybe it's just Tube being tube.

    Thanks Mars, I do like to think you guys have good reasons for banning someone, but sometimes they aren't all that transparent. It can make one feel like it's only a matter of time until they're in the sights of the banning rifle.

    I'm not sure if it's cool to ask this, because it seems to be a sore point for a lot of people. What happened to "A duck!"?

    I've heard people refer to the fiasco that led to his demodding. Or maybe I have him mistaken for someone else.
