Changing PS3 settings blind

Ok, so here's the deal. My TV only takes 720p resolution, and my PS3 is set on, I believe 1080p. I need to lower the resolution, but I don't have the RGB video connectors with me. So from the start menu, how can I change the resolution to 720p without being able to see anything?

    I believe if you hold down the power button it'll reset your video settings.

    Wow this brings back awesome memories. My PS3 was set to 1080p through the HDMI output, and I took it to a friend's house. This was before he got an HD TV, so when we plugged it in using the composite cable, it wouldn't work. So I literally had to navigate to the settings and change the resolution by memory. I did it and I'm pretty sure that validated my owning a PS3.

    You should have just reset the video output.
