While I suppose logically it should've done a bit more than just scar one side of Harry's face, there's a pretty big difference between something exploding from within you and something detonating next to you.

Except the bomb detonated next to Brock and didn't even leave bone behind. I'll grant the bomb could have splattered the venom goo between the sonics of the explosion and the fire but it should have at least left some remains of Brock.
plus, from the way mj mentioned harry's forehead scar fading quickly, i assumed he had some kind of accelerated healing, and that the scarring could have been much worse before pete saw him again. edit- by which i mean that the bomb could be a lot stronger than even the scarring we see on harry's face later would imply
also i kept forgetting to say it, so i'm gonna say it now-
what bugged me the most is that scene in the beginning where harry jumps pete. he swoops down and just snatches him away, but the thing is that pete has a superpower that specifically prevents people from just swooping down on him without warning. he has it in the movies! i know he does, we saw it in the first one! it was a good chase scene, but predicated on pete not having his powers.
What the hell kind of psychopath doesn't like Bring It On? Sure the sequels were awful, but the original is a work of genius.
Ah yes, how dare the Nobel committee deny the writer of BRING IT ON a place next to the likes of Einstine and Hawking...

The Spidey Sense thing doesn't make sense, though.
At some points, the various Goblins invented gas bombs that could knock out his spider sense. Probably not a big leap to think Harry used the time between 2 and 3 to work out something along the same lines. More likely just an oversite, but I'm looking for a No Prize.

I would of at least liked to see Pete's eyes go wide and attempt to turn around and then just get slammed by Harry, that would of been cool.
I would of also liked the "twin voice" thing they did with the suit in the cartoon.

While I think saying Spider-Man 3 is the worst movie a person has ever seen in a theater is a little dramatic*, I will say that I haven't come this close to walking out of a movie since Revenge of the Sith. The only reason I didn't simply fall asleep during Spider-Man 3 like I did Revenge of the Sith is because my friends and I were laughing so damned hard.
*I've sat through We Were Soldiers, all three Star Wars prequels, both Matrix sequels, Bad Boys II, You Me and Dupree, Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights, The Blair Witch Project, and countless other horrible, horrible fucking movies in the theaters.

You know, I was even able to enjoy Ultraviolet on a very basic level. There are only three movies I can think of that I truly just did not like, and thought were genuinely horrible. The Man Who Knew Too Little, Bones, and Van Helsing. And even Van Helsing just bored me more than anything else.

Remember the part during the entire movie where Parker didn't have Spider Sense anyways? Oh yeah, that's right-it started from the get go when GGII came from behind Parker to grab him on his scooter and every damned scene after that. Rami missed the entire movie for an opportunity.

Regarding Spider-Man, I never really liked Venom much, but it would have totally been worth it to have more of him just for more Eddie Brock. Topher really made that role a whole lot more interesting.
Here's the version of Venom they went with. Simple, creepy as fuck, and looks like he could beat the hell outta Peter. I think they made the right choice because A) We already have Sandman who is causing sand to fly everywhere mid-battle, we don't need a goopy Venom doing the same with his suit's "sludge" and The original appearance Venom is much better than the terrible evolutions he had during the 90's, as I have already said.

It was not as good as I thought it would be. Then again, I was looking to inject my inner child with more heroin. Better, purer heroin. Spidey 2 really opened up what could be done in terms of bringing him to life and making him seem 'real', there would have had to be a whole 'nother can of whoopass in 3 to capture that same sense of novelty and action.
Maybe that was supposed to be Venom, but he was just an aborted fetus of an action project. Topher was commanding enough to actually blaze a hole backwards in time through the show, giving one the feeling that something else should have been there along side of the hour long 'Meanwhile' panel as Spidey brooded himself into patheticism. Sandman got ripped off in the same way. I thought Church did a great job, though it's a bit sad when one becomes more interested in the sideline story than in the main character.
It had a high bar to reach - I still can't figure out how I'd place it if the second one hadn't raised my expectations. It was a solid spidey fix, I guess. Somehow that movie seemed both larger and smaller than it needed to be.
