Did my placement matches for 3v3 last night, somehow went 4-1, ended up getting placed in platnium...problem is, im nowhere near that good, guess I wont get to play any of that, I would just feel bad for dragging a team down.
Anything beyond 1v1 rewards turtling up to capital ships.
Think actually only one of my 4 wins on 3v3 was because of massive turtling. The other 3 wins all 3 of us just actually talked to each other, even though it was as simple as "okay lets ALL go kill the red guys", "Ill go ground, you go air, and you defend/reenforce losses" even a little coordination seems to go a long way.

I had a guy yesterday always causing almost-timeouts during the whole game. Really fucked our rhythm, then they fucked us. It felt like it was on purpose, but it isn't like they could play any better in a game this laggy... I think

Rushes are the most effective strategies in things beyond 1v1, so I have no idea what you are talking about.
