I tried to read up on the history of each character, and Belasco himself, but it's all so boring. What are the X-Men doing fighting a weird demon anyway?

Apparently it's down to the last three or four issues. I think Y ended up getting a bogged down, but nonetheless, that was a great pay off right there. I'm going back to the comic shop and picking this sucker up.
Nova as others have said was awesome as well. In fact, this week was pretty good what with Marvel Zombies, Thunderbolts, Nova, and what have you. The only sore spot was Amazing Spiderman. I completely hated that issue. Did anyone notice that
When he catches up to the trigger man, one moment he has his mask on, and in the next panel it's off? It just didn't flow well to me
Plus I don't really get any of the other spiderman titles, and it feels like I missed an issue in between this one and the last one.
According to Louise Simonson, who wrote New Mutants and is writing the Magik issue of Mystic Arcana, there are lots of versions of Illyana and she is well aware of the different versions of herself. Since the HoM universe wasn't a "true" part of the multiverse, HoM Illyana was really the resurrected version of the 616 Illyana. Belasco recognized her immediately and latched onto her when 616 was returned to normal. That's my understanding of why Magik is there.
- After reading the new issue, the moment of realization that this is most likely the best new 'non superhero' series to come out in awhile and they can have all my money in the future. Really glad I picked it up (just started a new story line 'Friendly Fire')
