Sunglass Scratch Repair

Is it possible? I scraped the front of my sunglasses on a concrete wall and I've got two small scuff circles in the middle of each lens. You can feel the roughness with your fingernail but the scratch lines are fairly small as if I took sandpaper to it. I know the glasses scratch fillers are bullshit but is there anything that works to some extent or should I just get new lenses? They are very mild prescription glasses, non-polarized and I can't tell what they're made of.

If they're prescription, I think you have very little chance to fix them. The only way to fix a scratch like that is to grind the lens down so that the scratched part isn't there anymore. This doesn't work with prescription lenses, because they're a specific thickness and shape, etc.

Take a non-pigmented candle (like a tea candle or votive) and rub it on the scratched surface. Then buff the excess off with a clean towel. This won't fix it but it can drastically reduce the visibility of the scratches since you are essentially filling them with wax. Filling big scratches in this way can result in optical distortions.
