game woulda been easy to fix if they'd just listened to the beta testers. i still had a lot of fun, though.

If only there was some way to broadcast a message to everyone at once.

if only there was some way to broadcast the message "beta testers only show up in the office after all primary design and programming is finished. You are here to find bugs, not to say "you know what would be cool is if ________"

It was actually just a play on the title...'All Points Bulletin'.

    quake wars was pretty unimpressive

why can't someone just make a new FPS as good as BF42 was in its day. TF2 is sort of there, but doesn't have anywhere near the scope that 42 did.

The only recent games with a big scope and multiplayer are the ArmA games.

I do like ArmA though, I just wished I had people to play it with.

I've been thinking of getting it, but it's been more than I've been willing to pay whenever I see it. $70NZ for Arma2 and the same for its expansion, is it worth getting both of them?

I dunno, I only just bought the expansion, downloading it now.

Also got the British armed forces expansion because I am a sucker for the L85

$10 says bungie will eventually make a Halo MMO.

Bungie are done with Halo forever.

    Reach was their last one.

343i are the ones making Halos now.

Is 343I made up from the guys from Bungie who made the Halo games, or is it just completely different people?

I was all about this game until I found out it was PC only.

I think it could have been more entertaining on Live with matchmaking?

I may be talking out of my ass, here, but it always struck me as a better idea for a console.

Matchmaking? Then it wouldn't really be an MMO.

Oh no! Sunny-Muffin's back wasn't able to hold up to your full metric ton of body armour. It's broken, the creature's final moments will be raw eternities of agony!

Select your assault rifle and then select your horse.

Don't you get matched now based on how many people are in each lobby, etc? Is it seriously one world? I thought it was segmented a la Guild Wars?

Well in that case operation arrowhead has really expanded on the air vehicles.

They now have a directional radar and flares, something that I have missed for a long time.

Also being able to zero in with the sniper rifles is useful as fuck.

Fuck yeah, QW was awesome. It basically took everything that was good about WolfET and made it better.

Too bad it didn't take off. Unfortunately it came out around the time that TF2 did, I think that killed a lot of the momentum it could have gotten.

God damn I played so much ET. So much. Just from that, Splash Damage earned infinite good will from me and I will pretty much buy whatever they make.

but paying 15 bucks a month for a game that you're playing pretty solidly the whole time as opposed to buying new games when you beat/get bored of your current one can actually save money in the long run!

of course all of this is moot if you hate the mmo grind
