In America, a man changed his name legally to Lucius Malfoy, showed me the documentation and then sent me documents to disown my parents and move to be with him in the States in his house, which he had named Malfoy Manor. I kindly rejected that. That was quite scary".

you can change your names to those of characters in the game and she can live with you at your house
"The Night Ravens" sounds more badass than a bunch of middle-aged people going around looking after drunk kids at night

Minecraft. My god. I made a house. I just meant it to be a safe place to do crafting. Double walled mud. Then I thought stone would nicer, and I figured I could expand a little. So I did stone wall on the outside, hollowed out the inner walls and put a second layer of stone wall in. Realized I needed a door, so I made one. But I wanted a view while I did my crafting. So I put my crafting stuff on the roof with a railing. And then I figured since I had a wall started, why not make it a proper floor? So I did. With a skylight system so I'd be able to have light on the first floor. But you know I didn't have a place with a good view any more, so I remade my open air roof. And I realized I wanted a porch, and with the floaty physics of minecraft, I could have a safe one on the roof. Which caused me to realize that I had a really boring rectangle shape...so i put a set of stairs along one wall, to get to my new porch. And now I kinda wanna a basement. I need help. And don't even get me started on the mine that is supplying all of the mats for this. I need light and I hate making torches so it has randomly spaced vertical shafts. With glass to keep critters out.

Minimum words? On an essay? Are you positive it wasn't a maximum?
I always hate a maximum word or page limit on an essay.
They exist for good reason. I always hate when I get handed some vast tome when I'm marking. Frankly, I get paid half an hour per report, and that is how long I'll spend doing it.

Certainly but a set specific one shouldn't exist. Basically what I'm saying is the essay is unable to make its point without getting "long winded" then it should be marked as such. But if there's a 2000 word limit and you wrote 2200 while still keeping it interesting and not wasting points or words then you shouldn't be penalized for the fact.
That probably makes less sense being read then it did in my mind.

I see and understand your point. The problem is that a majority of students are whiny bitches, and if you don't give them a word limit they get stressed and confused by the direction to "be concise".

it sounds like a more personal Dwarf Fortress
Especially protecting your group-made town at night from hordes of zombies and skeletons.
Player and mob damage isn't possible right now in multiplayer. Monsters aren't really the most fun part, though. :P

Pretty much my feelings as well.
Anyway the demarcation of science is a pretty big deal to me.
Actually I guess everything about the philosophy of science is a pretty big deal to me.
Eh, it's intro to Philosophy of Science, it's a 200 level.
Okay I could get into that.

one of our teachers loved giving us three hundred word essays on the language conflict (all she ever gave us essays about, it feels like)
three hundred words is so fucking annoying

We were doing it based on APA style, which emphasizes brevity because the goal is to teach you to write articles for scientific journals.
