I heard Catfish is just in the documentary vein, and it's actually a thriller.
i've also heard it just has a twist ending.
Either way, it's not playing anywhere near me so fuck Hollywood.
The filmmakers were on NPR the other day talking about this. My understanding is that the film-makers are maintaining that it's a documentary, but that a few documentarians question whether that's true.

I never talk about video games on a first date. I will pepper conversations with subtle references to video games, and if she gets them then I score bonus points and if she doesn't then she has no idea video game references were made.
The exception to this is smash brothers.

The last guy I went on a date with had "I'm On A Boat" on his mp3player, which he tried to hide, because he thought I might think it was weird. But I was amused by it because you know, On A Boat. Then he got clingy and I called off our dates. But yeah, that was a case of getting an internet reference on a date.

i had my ipod playing in the car on a date and Tenacious D came on, she gave me the stink eye so during dinner i rolled out before the check got there.
not really i just never called her back. she had a very "i don't know what this is, and therefore it is stupid" look on her face.

I think perhaps the problem is that you're overestimating the general population.
People will mouse over your photos while browsing match percentages. They won't delve into a profile to see who that girl is.
