The new DC movies aren't connected to the DC Animated Universe in any way except being done by many of the same writers and animators, but some of them are really good. In rough order I'd suggest checking out

Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths
    Batman: Under the Red Hood
    Superman/Batman: Public Enemies
    Justice League: New Frontier
    Green Lantern: First Flight
    Wonder Woman
    Superman: Doomsday

and the recently released Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is supposed to be pretty good.

I've actually heard that Apocalypse was a mediocre movie based on a terrible comic. I mean, Jeph Loeb.

Jeph Loeb is awful but it's not like he wrote the screenplay. Public Enemies was also based on a story he did but was actually pretty fun.

he had a mouth in Transformers Animated and it was fine. As long as he has his iconic battle mask I don't really care.

I think the problem is that it's not so much a "mouth" but a... hole that seems to just open and close in undetailed 90s-era CGI Metal.

So, Lauren Faust (worked on PowerPuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends--I guess she's actually married to the guy who started those shows) just started a new My Little Pony show on Hub (used to be Discovery Kids) and it is faaaaantastic.

Yeah, I see you giving me those o_O looks, but seriously, if you liked PowerPuff Girls you should take a look. Nice animation (reminiscent of PPG) and kind of a D&D-ish feel. (Starts with a creation myth, ends with a goddess of darkness laughing evilly about how she's going to destroy the sun.)

Now I am just crossing my fingers this cartoon gets accepted by the core demographic, even if it doesn't have anorexic super-sorceress-princess-teens in spandex that have princely boyfriends.

Because, seriously, I could watch this with my little cousin and not want to chew my arm off. There was pretty much nothing in there that made me cringe or roll my eyes.

A bit saccharine overall, but nothing insulting or moronic. Good VA work as well.

They have subtitled episodes of Sonic X for god's sake. I never though I'd see it in it's original form as long as 4Kids held the rights.
