Really just depends what kind of experience you're looking for.
Well it depends on whether you are looking at software or hardware. Software-wise the two are pretty much identical. Hardware-wise, though, you have more freedom to do what you want with a PC. With a Mac you get something that's well supported and built extremely well. The reasons for owning either are different.
