Professor Layton + Phoenix Wright crossover announced for 3DS?!?!

Something brand new now!

We now see a crescent moon from the view of the inside of a castle. We see layton accusing some girl of being a witch in what appears to be a trial...

OBJECTION!!!

Phoenix Wright shows up and tells layton who's boss. It appears to be a crossover title Layton vs Phoenix Wright (Though it appears they are teaming up)

So far they've only showed anime cutscenes. But they confirmed this is a joint game by LEVEL5 and Capcom.

It's a combination of puzzles and crime mystery for wait for it.....

3DS!

Professor VS Gyakuten saiban is the title.

    Wow, Gyakuten Saiban has reached a new low. Capcom, I know you want to drain every last single fucking penny you can from the franchise, but sometimes letting something in pain die is the humane thing to do. Really, kill it. The series hasn't been good in the last five years.

    This plus Layton 5. They also announced another couple of 3DS titles, one of which was originally a DS title.

    Man, this announcement is just pure joy. So amazing. I will never get enough Phoenix Wright.

    Although, to be honest, I've never played the Layton games. I've heard they're good, and I know they look great, but solving riddles doesn't seem like it would be that fun? If anyone wants to change my mind, please try.

    I dunno. They made three games with Phoenix ages ago. Then added one case to the last one. Then made two games starring other people. Then ported the first three darn near everywhere. And now we get a new Phoenix-starring game, but he's up against a magical storyteller and sharing the limelight with Layton.

    Witch trials? How do you defend that? Your assistant is a witch. No contradiction there...

    It's more than the sum of its parts. When you boil it down, it's basically like one of those puzzle books that your parents bought you on long roadtrips, but it's set in a very charming steampunk-ish world containing awesome music, a great art style and crazy, outlandish plots.

    I'm not really a big puzzle guy, but I love it all the same.

    A genuine shiver went down my spine. Two franchises that I hold very dear to my heart and will love to see working together.

    I'm in shock, but it's an awesome kind of shock.
