When you get a patch the cache folder is deleted, so the professions window is messed up because it's still caching all of the recipes and items you can make.
Yeah, when you delete your cache for any reason, it takes awhile for the game to recache all your professions to make them work again.
Glad they didn't do shit to fix the launcher, which now makes a horrifying sound when patching is done.
It did that before.
If you're on Vista or 7 click on your sound options in the taskbar when the launcher is up. Turn the volume on the WoW application down or off. Exit. This does not affect the WoW game client, just the launcher.
So what, exactly, does Single-Minded Fury offer over Titan's Grip? 15% more damage probably isn't gonna cut it, and Slam is the weakest ability by far. So... ... ... What?
Pretty sure it's just a style thing. I would imagine the goal is to keep sustained single-target DPS close to each other and that's about it. Maybe.

I think he's pointing out that it probably will suffer in single-target dps compared to TG.
He's kinda ignoring that bloodthirst doesn't use weapon damage, so the Single Minded fury war will have higher numbers there, but the raging blow strikes would appear to be much lower.
But really, pick up two two handers and two 1 handers and see if there's only a 15% difference between their damage output.

It kind of slipped my mind that the SMF was 15% damage to EVERYTHING, not weapon strikes.
Sounds fun, really. I like hard-hitting abilities.
edit: Side question, does Heroic Strike deal static damage + % of AP now, or is it still a weapon swing + damage? Cleave seems to be the former now, but Heroic Strike's tooltip isn't clear one way or the other.
One of Azeroth’s oldest adversaries will soon tear through the Elemental Plane to reforge the world in flame, but this foe won’t be conducting his reign of terror from the confines of a castle or lair. Deathwing is a destructive force the likes of which adventurers have yet to see in World of Warcraft, and his appetite for devastation can only be satisfied by the shattering of the world. Following his explosive escape from Deepholm, Deathwing will cast a deadly shadow over the people of Azeroth as he wreaks indiscriminate havoc across the land.
Once free to terrorize the world, Deathwing will randomly choose territories in Azeroth to attack each day until his ruinous reign is brought to an end. A blackened sky will be the only warning before every living creature caught in his approach is consumed by his terrible fire. The unfortunate victims of his malice will receive a rare Feat of Strength... as well as a repair bill and corpse run.
When Deathwing returns, you'd best keep your eyes on the skies.

:O
Q u o t e:
So does this mean he's going to strafe zones all through Cataclysm until the 4.x patch when he's killable and he's dropped on a realm sometime?
Yes, this isn't a permanent event, but will last so long as he's free to roam the world.

Oh, and the fire apparently kills everything. Everything. Every NPC, every critter, every player character.
Everything.

It certainly sets him up as a more menacing antagonist than the lich king was. Imagine if when the lich king showed up while levelling it was a huge "OH FFFFFFFFFFFFFF" event instead of a "sup arthas, oh, going so soon?"
I hope one patch accidentally screws up and replaces his model with a bear for a short time, like what happened with the Fel Reaver.
Having the sky go dark and a regular-sized bear come swooping through the sky annihilating everything in it's path would be far more awesome then when people had to worry about Welcome Bear 2.0 in HFP.
So when they say he kills everything in random zones until he's dead... that basically means he kills EVERYTHING until the patch in which we can down him is up. So like two years?
I foresee much epicness. Much whining as well.
Definitely a different feel from the way LK was implemented through questing. It always felt like we were chasing him. Blizz got bored with that apparently and turned the tables.

They specifically mentioned that.
"Illidan was never present in TBC, so we tried to fix that in WotLK.
Unfortunately, we cartoonized him a bit too much.
Pretty much anytime you see Deathwing in the world he will kill you."

For those of us that didn't get a chance to get to Blizzcon and didn't want to pay $texas to watch it live, the whole Tenacious D concert is on youtube.
See, this bug happened to me, but instead of my Alchemy button I had my Transmute Master button on my bars. So while I couldn't get to Alchemy in the spellbook my Transmute Master button worked fine. At some point my spellbook corrected itself.
This also happened on the PTR, and I have no idea why this, along with tons of other major bugs, went seemingly ignored. I fixed it on the PTR because basically premades had the skill level but knew no recipes. After learning some stuff my button appeared. I assume you had recipes prior to 4.0.1.

It's funny, Pathaleon the Calculator was more of the antagonist of TBC in the quests. He shows up a few times and actually ended up being more menacing than Arthas did in Wrath.
So in other words, they're making a giant flying fel reaver that can randomly pop up over your ass at any time and burn it into ash?
...
Sweetness.
So in other words I'm going to be logged into a random zone on my Paladin for as long as it takes to get killed by Deathwing because I will get that FoS.

3 years, 3 chars, not ONE toothpick.
Have everything else on my main, even the reigns, but NO toothpick. Can not complete the holiday without.
What is going on with talents? Everything is different.

Try /use Tailoring, I don't know if that will help. If it works, you can macro it and put it on your action bars.
pretty much the same set as when I saw them two years ago.
That isn't a bad thing, the show was awesome, then it was followed by metallica who pretty much played a greatest hits set.
