I made the mistake of attempting a Scorpion Gulch crossing rather than go throw Nipton.

Good thing I wasn't married to that idea.

Entered Scorpion Gulch at level 7 with 300+ 9mm rounds

Exited at level 9 with a nearly broken machete

Also in the REPCONN HQ whats the deal with the hidden door? I found two of them and when I hover over them I get the option to "Open Hidden Door" - when I try to "open" the door it only gives me the option to jam it shut?
Those are probably just the holding closets for the security robots.

I don't find invisible walls as much as cliffs or rock faces that are just a little bit too steep to climb... I guess. Guess they wanted people following the roads.

I got past the artillery by following the rail line to their fence, then running along the fence.

if you talk to the gambler on the road to the boomers, you can bet/buy a guide to get in
you have to run to the northeast, to the first exploded house that has a little bit of roof. hide in the northeast corner until the bombardment stops. then sprint for the fence

Apparently how they "fixed" the autosave problem in Steam was to disable the cloud feature... Bummer, I installed this at work and expected to be able to load my saves... but I can't. Guess I'll have to drag them over manually?

It depends on how long you want to do side quests and such, just like fo3. It is long long long though.

if you did "main quest" stuff and only main quest stuff around fifteen hours

but just wandering around doing whatever quests you feel like and exploring the wastes and such there's probably three to four times that

Take the road heading to Nellis and just hug the hillside to the left until you get to the fence and hug that until the entrance.

    My way is best way

Maybe his job is QA tester for New Vegas. They just hired him yesterday.

I contracted a team of QA testers outside Baltimore, just down the street from Bethesda. While I was there I noticed at the time they were testing parts of Fallout 3, early builds.

If Bethesda kept them as testers, I am not at all surprised the issues that are present made it through.

They made little mistakes on my shit like, "3 Week Transaction count is QA PASS"

    20 mins later

"Well, except for Visa. Those counts aren't present, Priority 2 issue."

    Next day.

"Visa transactions aren't processing at all. Transaction fails at Authentication Handshake. Priority 1 issue."

    30 mins later

"Downgrade to NOTANISSUE, tester didn't run Visa transaction across 3 week period. Visa testing beginning."

    45 mins later

    "Visa transaction fails at....."

I had to fly up there WEEKLY to untangle bullshit procedural issues.
