Ghost Rider 2 is apparently happening, but on a reduced budget of $75 million.

Which honestly might be good for it. I'd rather see a more subdued, gritty Ghost Rider than we got the first time around. Something that looks like what'd happen if The Book of Eli had a baby with Death Race. Really, the most expensive thing should be the CGI skull and fire, which I can't imagine would cost too much.

Those aren't mutually exclusive. I mean, you could use dudes like Madcap and Jack O'Lantern on a low budget.

I don't think the stereotypical war between heaven and hell is that interesting anyway.

I don't really think Ghost Rider needs to be riding up the sides of skyscrapers, and acting like Super Dave Osborne. I'd rather he be the hard-travelin' hero that wanders into a dusty backwoods and has to deal with some supernatural craziness. Like, Ghost Rider v.s. The Highwayman would be my perfect Ghost Rider movie.

Basically, I want more sepia and dirt, and less flash and chrome.

Nah, this is just like when two superheroes meet for the first time. We'll fight for a little while, but ultimately join forces later.

For reals though, I think Jane's Punisher was a better movie, though Stevenson's was more fun. I will say that when Frank shoots the parkour guy with a rocket, I laughed for a solid minute. I just had a really hard time getting past the acting of everyone buy Stevenson and Wayne Knight.

Wikipedia sez "In July 2010, at the San Diego Comic-Con International, company head Kevin Feige revealed that another Punisher reboot is in the works. Feige said that the rights to the character have reverted back to Marvel Studios, and they want to take their own shot at it. He also said that he's aiming for a "Frank Castle" movie rather than a Punisher film."

Fantastic isn't the word I'd use for either movie. I couldn't stand them (although Ray is the f*in man! LONG LIVE ROME!)

But although the first one sucked imo, it did have the Russian fight... which was one of my favorite fights of all time. Top ten for sure!

Tom Jane was a great Punisher, the best really. He looked the part most of all, not a huge beefy guy but more like a soldier, and he also seemed tougher in that he could recieve a massive beating from guys bigger than him and keep going. Also he looked great in the longcoat with the skull shirt underneath. I love that film, it's so awesome.

Also the fight with the Russian, which is just great.

Yeah, but I think we figured out a couple days later that Punisher: Warzone was produced by Marvel Studios as well, and he was just saying that to please the crowd after a fan brought it up as a question.

EW doing Cap cover and spotlight

I didn't know Evans is/was originally locked in for a 9 movie deal, that's pretty steep.

edit: it was lowered to 6, which seems to have helped; what else could he be in 3 other movies for other than background noise?

Later on in the interview it says that Marvel agreed to reduce it to three, which i assume means a Cap trilogy and an Avengers trilogy, though I wasn't aware they planned to carry n the franchise after the first movie.

He looks good in the costume though, the haircut and clean shave make a difference, and I think that Evans is certainly a good enough actor to pull off the rule.

Hugo weaving looks so dastardly with that 40's hair style and uniform. Great casting choice right there. I am actually pretty psyched for this movie now, everything about it looks like it's going to be great stuff.
