A Time Line Of Milk:

Since the dawn of time until the eighties, the glass bottle with a one-use lid reigned supreme.
milk-bottle.jpg
It was a simpler time, when a man in a flatcap would leave milk on your doorstep and you didn't have to worry about the local kids either stealing it to buy crack, or putting meth in it.

Up till the early nineties, we dealt with cartons
Brique_lait_dsc04430.jpg
It was a bleak time and the best we could hope for was some kind of handy built-in top to try and mitigate the inevitable mess.

And then, people realised that tops should screw, and the plastic bottle was born
recycle-plastic-milk-bottle-tops.jpg
The world became a better place, but soon it became clear this was incredibly wasteful. Largely due to local councils and their confusing rules for recycling milk bottles, which often ended in angry bin men strewing them across the road each Wednesday morn.

Welcome to the future!

And then you flood your whole damn kitchen with it.

Also, it is not for people who desire anything other than semi-skimmed, because you simply can't buy it in bags.

I don't drink milk, so it's none of my business really, but that looks really annoying to store / pour out of.

I'll be honest - I prefer cartons with screwtops.

I may be slightly biased as my father works for a major carton-producing company.

Yeah. Well they were giving them out free when they first launched the stuff. I'm led to believe that it's also how they have rolled in Australia for some years now.

I'd buy bag milk if it was cheaper.

But I'd buy anything if it was cheaper for I am poor.

You know, for a disaster movie with religious overtones - the twist in Knowing was surprisingly refreshing.

    Although seriously
Those alien were dickhead eugenecist jerks, who probably killed a bunch of people to make sure their "prophecy" came true.

It's about 10% cheaper. The problem being only Sainsbury's sell it, so I can't pop to the local Tesco Metro if I run out of milk. It's been really successful for forcing me into brand loyalty.

That was probably one of the three worst films I saw last year. Seriously poorly done in almost every way that matters. And it took itself with such self-aggrandised importance.

I saw an ALIENS! film I'd never heard of advertised on a bus the other day. I do not remember the title, but the tagline was about not looking up.

Oh yeah. It's a bad movie. But still: that was actually a decent twist, just probably bad that that was the one they went with.

Ah, Skyline. The trailer looks vaguely interesting. The acting looks abysmal, but I don't watch a movie with aliens blowing shit up for the acting.

Also I can't be bothered reading posts longer then about 4 paragraphs max.

If it's longer then that then it's not a post - it's an essay - and you can't reasonably respond to any of the points in a way which is going to matter to whoever wrote it.

The problem I have with aliens invading modern Earth movies is that you just know a deus ex machina is necessary in there in order for us to win at the end. Either that or we just lose all at once.

What you want is a half-assed alien invasion. Or something set far enough in the future that we have a chance.

Basically, someone needs to turn Freespace and Freespace 2 into awesome movies. Like, 10% space fighters, 20% capital ships blasting each other to pieces, and like 40% Hallway fight.
