    MOTWs?
All the art in New Avengers 6. Holy crap that was some nice art.

Also pretty much the entire issue of Ultimate Thor, really great min-series so far.

    Are there more of these?

Knight and Squire is essentially 60s Batman, but silly.

And the only music Knight dances to is glam rock.

I'll be honest, I didn't like where the first issue was going with the whole pub thing, but now that I understand what Cornell is doing, I like it a lot better.

I think my favourite part of issue 2 was all the names of the porn magazines in the corner shop or possibly that i'm pretty sure the old guy who got killed was meant to be Frasier from Dads Army.

maybe now they'll announce a Nova & Star-Lord series that's all about Rich and Pete bouncing around other dimensions or universes or on the far side of the galaxy just trying to get home. it would be fun!
    Nova and Star-Lord: Exiles?

Haha, actually had the idea to draw an exiles team based on that ending, with an alternate Man-Thing being Pete and Richies multiversal transport. Basically the team would be this forums wet-dream.

That would be some hot shit right there.

Didn't the last Exiles series end though with some sort of problem that required the creation of multiple teams? Something about their headquarters fridging the version of the team Psylocke was on I think.

Ironically, Chuck Austen had one of the best Exiles runs in the series history.

That was a good 10-12 issue run! And he was able to get away with his "every woman I write sleeps with men at the drop of a hat" because it was alternate worlds and Hyperion worked as a super-jerk. And Jim Calafiore and Clayton Henry art.

I liked it better than the beginning of Bedard's run, of which I lost interest about 10 issues in. But the premise itself is one that at best can go 50 issues before being stale, yet they dragged it on for well over a hundred.

Bedard's run was far and away the best, with Parker and Winnick coming in a close second

Austen had the idiotic Japan being destroyed arc with everyone acting hilariously out of character and horrible stupid annoying Magik to pour all of his women issues into. Oh, and that shitty crossover with his X-Men run.

I liked the Heroes for Hire literally letting countries be blown up if they can't pay for help. If you're doing alternate universes, go ahead and do that with characters. And it's only a 3 issue arc or so, no harm done.

Like Tony becoming Dr. Doom, or the Phalanx arc with the Norse Gods, those are nice ways to go beyond "this character is the opposite gender of _______"

I'm definitely getting curious where the Scarlet series is going. Grabbed #3 yesterday.

Bendis + Maleev + main character taking out corrupt police officers. It's all rabble rousey.

Finding out Kieron Gillen replied a month ago to an old PM I sent him about his amazing Ares mini.

I miss you guys. For some reason I had this idea that Victoria Hand should have a kid using USAgent's sperm and create the most amazing superhero kid who kills nothing but communist terrorists - which is everyone not him.

    Carry on.

Hand is gay so she needs a sexy partner (Valkyrie) to do the whole "we're two strong women, we don't need no man to raise a kick ass child!" thing, so she goes to her dude friend that she picks up chicks with, Barney Stinson wingman-style (Walker), to help her out in the baby-batter department. What follows is a kick ass coming-of-age tale where the main plot point is that one day this child will grow up to go to China and say, "What national debt do we owe you? WHATEVER ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT GOOD SIRS?!?!". And just like that America is saved.

I think Hand would do it with Walker, if only because she's a patriot damn it, she'd lie back and think of the flag to make the hero america needs, the hero it deserves (also if anyone could turn Hand straight it would be John Walker).

So it doesn't make anyone else even slightly discomfited that a lesbian's superhero name is "Hand"?

It's not her superhero name, she doesn't even have one. Her name is Victoria Hand.

Which I'll grant you is vaguely porn star-ish.

finally picked up knight and squire #2 (after my LCS messed up my standing order and proudly presented me with knights of the dinner table the other week)

cornell's written something specifically to appeal to the english sense of humour, but he's done an amazing job of it. pretty much every page made me chuckle. good few of my friends might find themselves gifted with a TPB of it further down the line.
