Check this out.

Probably someone has posted something similar before but I thought this was pretty great. Seriously, my mind? It is blown.

The greatest mystery the universe offers is not life but size. Size encompasses life, and the Tower encompasses size. The child, who is most at home with wonder, says: Daddy, what is above the sky? And the father says: The darkness of space. The child: What is beyond space? The father: The galaxy. The child: Beyond the galaxy? The father: Another galaxy. The child: Beyond the other glaxies? The father: No one knows.

    You see? Size defeats us.

I always think it's amazing just how average we are. I mean, you can't say the Universe is so big, and we are so small, because in reality we're not all that small, there are things much smaller, we just sort of hang around in the middle.

It's cool that we, as a species, know this shit though. I like that.

But are we really, though? Ever think that it's possible that the only reason it seems to us like we're average is because that's as far as our perception goes in either direction? What if it turns out there are things much, much bigger than the universe or much smaller than the smallest concepts we can conceive of? What if we're nowhere near the middle?

Dude pass me that shit again that shit's good.

    Maaaaannn.

Science always gets me like that. Like when I read a book about how Electrons behave differently if you're looking at them, like they know you are watching. How the fuck that even works I have no idea, but it blew my mind and it still does now.

Basically there is no way you can measure an electron that doesn't involve poking it with something.

Son, a string is a lot like a... a refrigerator! They're about six feet tall, 300 pounds. They make ice, and... um... Oh, wait a minute. Actually, a string is more like a beer. They smell good, they look good, you'd step over your own mother just to get one! But you can't stop at one. You wanna drink another string!

And I say oh, yeah? Well if you want that money, come and find it, 'cause I don't know where it is ya baloney. You make me wanna retch.

Even big collections of ordinary books distort space and time, as can readily be proved by anyone who has been around a really old-fashioned second-hand bookshop, one of those that has more staircases than storeys and those rows of shelves that end in little doors that are surely too small for a full sized human to enter.
The relevant equation is Knowledge = Power = Energy = Matter = Mass; a good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read. Mass distorts space into polyfractal L-space, in which Everywhere is also Everywhere Else.

Ok, fair enough. I haven't listened to their music enough to determine if they are technically "good". The couple of songs by them that I've heard were so goddamned irritating that I had no reason to try to listen to anything else they've done.
