I pray that's a sketch. It's just.. it looks like someone coloured it with a pack of sharpies on their binder in math class.

Of course that's a sketch. Marvel wouldn't use experimental comic art in its mainstream series.

That could be an awesome suit, but the fact it's Iron Man colors makes it look so wrong, especially since we the reader know that Tony made it.

After reading that article.......I pray that isn't the final design. Making it a copy of the black suit and giving it those colors jsut doesn't sit right with me. Since they admit it's inspired by the black suit, why not just give him the black suit? =\

Designed by Marvel Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada, this new design has a few tricks up its sleeve.

Well at least for once I know exactly who to blame.

Tony Stark doesn't care about black people...I mean suits.

"I imagined Tony presenting Peter with the new suit and Peter putting it on and saying that it looks great but that his colors are red and blue. Tony would simply respond, ‘My design, my colors!’"

    Sounds like Tony's drunk again.

Can anyone with mad photoshop skills recolor the red to blue and the gold to red? Just for giggles? It has potential to be great but screw flying the banner of Tony Stark.

Pardon the apparent lack of reading comprehension, but where does it say that this is like Spiderman's black suit (the Venom suit, right?)? Is it the "it echoed one of Spidey's greatest villains" bit, or something I'm just not getting?

See that one is better in every way shape and form. The overall desgin need some tweaking to play nice with the colors....and it needs some web patterns somehow....

Red and black could look good too......eh I was always partial to the black suit....

I think the Spider-Man suit is pretty much the only outfit in Marvel's stable that's as instantly recognizable as Batman or Superman's suit and Marvel is kind of a sucker to change it as drastically as they often do.

I like it, but it's a bit flashy. I don't like the yellow bits, it reminds me too much of Spider-Woman, whose costume I loath. Personally I don't care if they remake or redo the costumes of super heros just as long as it's done well.

With that said the SA version is exactly what it should be. It's toned done and different, but not too different from what we know.

Wolverine's yellow and blue seems to be that reconizable.

Most of the 90s Jim Lee X-Men suits are pretty recognizable, but I'd have to agree with Servo.

Has any one else thought abotu reversing the gold and crimson? On Iron man the Gold is around the joints and face, not the red. The first thing I would check is to see how it looks in that scheme. Since they are so adamant with those colors. There are different ways to mix that up.

I think they're recognizable to anyone who reads comics, but I'd say that Spidey, Batman, and Superman are big enough cultural icons that even if you've never picked up a comic before, you'd probably recognize them.
