Well first, that's not really Obama's fault and second, it doesn't really matter when the republicans know they'll have a House majority soon. If he didn't compromise enough, they could have just stalled until they had a majority.
    A) I'm pretty sure I addressed your first point in another post; I agree, this is a senate issue and Obama's involvement is not the main point here

    2) Yeah, it was a political shit-kick by the Republicans. The problem is that they're so much better at this than the Democrats.

ix) A compromise in a tax cut gives the Republicans an out should it not spur significant growth. An unpopular Obama says "See I cut taxes!" and the slightly popular Republicans get to say "No you didn't we still had a net raise in taxes! BARRY IS A TAX MAN! BARRY IS A TAX MAN!"

exactly what part of 4chan appeals to you as a positive thing that cancels out or even obfuscates the horribleness ieyeasu

It's been the origin of many of the memes that we all like to laugh at over the past few years? Yeah, I'll go with that.

And the much hullaboo'd "horribleness" is pretty *blown out of proportion* because i can't spell.

Perceived anonymity can breed creativity, but obviously also make people scream SHITCOCK.
Anonymity and accountability for what you say are very interesting trains of thought, especially now where it has finally reached the political 'elites' that that shit can harm their interests and those of important lobby groups that pay their holiday trips. There's either gonna be a technological switch to more anonymity, or Facebook for everyone in the "WHY BE AFRAID IF YOU GOT NOTHING TO HIDE" sense.

Have people seen this post from 4chan? (it's not inherently offensive though I'll take it down if asked by the mods)

"You COMPLETELY miss the point of 4chan. 4chan is not Fark "oh hay guys i found a cute link ha ha.". 4chan is not Slashdot's pseudo-intellectual discussion. 4chan is not LiveJournal, SuicideGirls, or HotOrNot. 4chan is a place for people to be monsters- the horrible, senseless, uncaring monsters that they really are.

Tsunami owns the Asian continent and we laugh. Psychotic emo takes his sickness out on a cat and we laugh. People mutilate themselves for no apparent reason and we laugh. Suicide, homicide, genocide- we laugh. Racism, sexism, discrimination, xenophobia and baseless hate- we laugh. We are mindless "me-too"ism; we are irrational preference; we are pointless flamewars; we are the true face of the internet." -Anon

I just find it fascinating that someone on 4chan thinks that about 4chan. I don't necessarily agree with it but at the same time I think it's a really interesting view on what happens when you give people anonymity and remove social boundaries.

There's certainly a freedom at 4chan to enjoy black humor--the blackest of humor, really--that you don't get elsewhere.

Yeah 4Chan is not as bad as people make it out to be. But it's not the brilliant social experiment that some of them think it is either.
