So it's winter time again, and you know what that means.

Christmas!

But we already have like a zillion threads for that. Let's talk about the other great part of winter.

Snow!

Here in the lesser London, I just found out that colleges sometimes have snowdays too. That's because in a matter of two days London went from no snow to the entire city being virtually shut down from it. All of the schools, many of the businesses and for the third time ever the city buses have been pulled from the road (not including strikes).

Shit got insane real quicklike.

Want to go drive somewhere? Pfffaaahahaha good luck.

Even the snow plows got stuck!

I can't even get out my back door!

So SE++ how much snow are you dealing with right now?

It's still freezing out here but atleast the snow is mostly gone. I can't wait for it to start snowing so the nation collapses again.

We're cold here - but have just had dustings of snow. I'm in Maine so we generally have a good layer on the ground by Christmas. I'm not a huge fan though - I've been trying to convince the wife to move to a different, less cold & snowy, state for awhile now.

I used to do that as a kid, but I always had to do it from the other side, or else the snow plow would come by and lock me in my cave of snow forever.

I have a love/hate relationship with snow. I love it when it pays a brief visit in the city or is up in the mountains, but it can overstay its welcome after a few days in the city.

    This is Georgia.

A few ice crystals falling causes a pileup on an interstate. A half inch of the stuff shuts society down.

To be fair, we don't get practice with it, so it is dangerous even in such small amounts. No one here knows how to maintain control if they slip a bit, and you don't need much snow for that.

Still fun to watch people flip out and empty the grocery stores at the annual dusting. It's like black friday, but with food and non-perishables.

I love snow for the ugliest reasons.

I'll walk around watching people shivering, slipping on ice and in general in terrible moods because of the snow. And while they are all in a perpetual state of anger I feast on their sadness.

I wish we'd get a bit more snow where I live occasionally. I mean we'll sometimes get like half an inch once or maybe twice a year but for the most part we get nothin. I'd like to play with snow like in that picture a few posts above mine sometimes.
