If it is a buddy cop series, can Rocket Raccoon be the grumpy space police chief?

    Quasar/Cosmo buddy cop series

    with special appearance by Gamora

    Gentlemen

    I'd read that.

In what context does Gamora appear though?

I need to know for, er, science.

It's noir styling. Gamora is the leggy dam that brings them the case

I always thought Gamora was great. I mean, she's the most obvious cheesecake, a green-skinned sexy alien assassin femme fatale, but rather than seem rediculous she's actually pretty cool.

Only if we get an image of Rocket slamming one paw against a paperwork-gorged desk, the other pointing angrily at an off-panel character situated behind the reader's left shoulder, his mouth angrily open mid-tirade.

Actually, someone go ahead and draw that for me.

Hmm. And Rocket does seem like the do his own thing and damn the consequences (of the big explosions) action hero.

Yes, I do think that works better. Just replace Quasar with Groot as Rocket's by-the-book partner. Quasar can be the other cop that hates Rocket's methods but pitches in at the end to help save the day.

    Quasar would be Pryzbylewski,
who kills a skrull cop while on stakeout in Knowhere. Everyone but his group thinks he killed him because he was a skrull. He now teaches at a troubled Shi'ar school.

I suggest Ronan, because he is a loose cannon but he also gets the necessary results.

Nova and Star Lord are the two most popular characters in Marvel Cosmic.

The ending of The Thanos Imperative was a way to bench them for awhile so they don't become stale.

Every character needs some time out. Also the inevitable return will be fucking awesome.

DnA return to the cosmic in March with ANNIHILATORS

4issue miniseries. Bad news, it's 4.99 an issue! Good news, it's over 40 pages per issue!

It seems the previously announced Rocket Raccoon and Groot mini-series has been folded into this other mini-series to make it super huge and probably awesome.

I'm all for this. Personally I think it's smart to give the "on hiatus" books one or two miniseries a year, like what they're doing with Punisher. That way they don't have the pressure to make sales like ongoings do.

I like that too, I'd think that approach helps story telling since you only have to focus on one good solid story at a time with these characters.

Timothy Green art again, since the Star Lord mini? Look forward to that.

This 2-in-1 format is what we were saying would be a nice remedy for the cosmic books a while back, so everyone buy it to prove we were right.

I may buy this new miniseries in singles but honestly I have most of the Marvel Cosmic stuff in collected format. Also during that time, March to June, I'll be in Tech school so I might not be able to get to a comic shop.

They missed out on a good thing, big time. Having Darkhawk roaming the universe looking for the evil raptors, with Gladiator, the Shi'ar, and half the galaxy's cosmic law enforcement on his tail could have been so good.

And I really thought the raptors were going to play into the whole Thanos Imperative and Cancerverse thing. They kinda had a Lovecraftian vibe to them that would've made them great villains to fight. Three of them have infilrated the Shi'ar Imperial Guard for crying out loud, they can't just be forgotten.

I hope we haven't seen the last of this.

Bumping this thread to check on the status of Marvel Cosmic. Where have the cosmic characters been popping up since all of their titles ended? Are any current Marvel comics telling any proper cosmic stories? What was the deal with the Jeph Loeb Nova thing? Nothing?
