i imagine bunches of old dudes sitting at their computer getting angry enough to shoot their monitor over some guy making nonsensical arguments and responding to retorts with "o rly?"
The premise of the show appeals, and isn't much more strange than any actual anime. It's just the show itself... it's... just odd somehow. Super-Zombie Dad: check. TeddyBear guy: check. Samuel L. Jackson playing two characters: check.
This is silly. As the number of repetitions tends to zero, it is straightforward to demonstrate that the weight will tend to infinity, not to one million.
Would H/A give me decent advice where grad school is concerned, or should I just ask the admissions office at UVA?
Other than telling you to break up with your school not a ton of help. Best to talk to your professors and such. The only advice they gave me were get books on essays and gre which are good advice. But not so much on where you want to go and such.

Weird stuff.
I think there are two parts. The first part is six episodes long and I remember that because the good folks at Spike TV spent a million dollars per episode making the damn thing. The second part, which includes a zombie dad, is four episodes long.

Rivs-
Back in the late 90s, I saw a nobody band at a cellar club in Garner, NC called "burn the priest" a they put on an amazing set to the 13 of us in the crowd, and it was an overall amazing night. Had a beer with the singer.
When they got their contract, they changed their name to Lamb of God.

Let's play Mario Kart or something...
I found a way to make it interesting. For this assignment the students are working on Lenna. So marking literally involves me looking at a Playboy Centerfold :P

I need a picture of this Stacey Pilgrim, to see if I'd want her cutting my hair while I drink.

hey they have one of those dance dance pads
but also I don't think that doing 0 reps of 1 million pounds will actually give me Anderson Cooper's arms.

Write your comments in blood. So your students know that you mean business.
Time to open a vein.
Marking's painful enough that's understandable anyway.

They are good folks.

... they're holding a gun to my head as I type this.
No, Spike TV is not good folks.
It's G4 levels of retarded, only directed at frat boys instead of nerds.
What did Randy drink?
