Would H/A give me decent advice where grad school is concerned, or should I just ask the admissions office at UVA?
Other than telling you to break up with your school not a ton of help. Best to talk to your professors and such. The only advice they gave me were get books on essays and gre which are good advice. But not so much on where you want to go and such.
Well, the foremost issue for me right now is dealing with my bad GPA, and I'm not sure if I should try a community college or non-degree-seeking courses at an actual college to raise it, or try to make the other parts of my application awesome to compensate for it. I imagine my personal statement will explain that I had problems in undergrad, but none of them should present in doctoral work.
I knew where that story was going as soon as you mentioned their old name :P

I would say talk to the admissions CC. They would probably know better than most of H/A. Internet is useful but if you have real life people to talk to that is your best choice.
So, I just watched a trailer for the new Deus Ex, over in the trailer thread. I feel like video game people should be in charge of making movies now. Also... it makes me sad that not every company produces stuff like that.

Of course, I am baffled by their huge success as well; I never saw them getting as mainstream as they did.
I just don't get it. They're not that good, and they don't really have any sort of real hook. In an ideal world, LoG would have been opening for Gojira during that tour with Metallica last year and not visa versa.

LoG and Pantera are both great bands. Vulgar Display Of Power is a classic. If I ever am involved in a fashion show in some way, shape, or form, I'm stalking my way down the runway to "Walk."

little light on the content, the graphics are really pretty and the combat system is probably the best I've seen in a MMORPG
which is jumping high over a low bar, but anyway
