Well, I'm not posting my address. I'll carefully screen who I invite. I just need to make sure I do that before I start drinking.
Hee Hee, that's such a cute plan. I mean it's not as if, you know,"word gets out" where it is, or if people bring people, or your address get's leaked and posted onto social entropy, you know it's not as if any of those things are likely to happen.
Here is some things to think about...
Not that I think this a bad idea. I am still looking for the strip where div trows a party and there is a past out toaster.

So am I to understand that PAX isn't going to be at the Washington Convention Center downtown, and will once again be in Bellevue? I thought the feeling was the Meydenbauer was too small to accomodate the ever growing throng of gamers.

Nintendogs 2, featuring wireless dog shit. Coming to a DS near you!
I understand the move, though it disappoints me some. Means I have to decide whether I wanna do table top or PC/console gaming and stick to it. The hotels aren't too far away, but far enough that I can't just do what I did last year and go between the two between games.
Well least the tabletop stuff will (in theory) run all night, so that is a bonus. Course they had a room setup last year that in theory was to be tabletop gaming all night, but I didn't see much in the way of games going on that I could join in on (well there was two, but they both looked to be heavily underway).

Actually, the official PAX hotel hasn't been decided yet so the distance is still TBD. However, that said, I can guarantee that you should notice how far away they are. Our choices are either the Doubletree or the new hotel across the street. If it's the Doubletree, we'll be having shuttle service throughout the whole weekend. If it's the new place, well, it's about a hundred feet away so you'll be fine.
Im an old fan of PA and i just heard of PAX and it looks amazing! (along with the people thatll go there) and i wanted to know, to go in another country (im from canada :S) do you need a passport or some identification papers will do? Because if i need a passport i won't be able to go since it takes many month to receive it. I also wanted to know if anyone would have a ride and if any1 is searching a roommate :P
Also i wanted to know, do i actually need to bring any stuff for PAX?
Where do i find these cool nerf guns :P
yeah thats pretty much it.
PS: for cheeto's sandals i give 2 bucks to anyone that eats them xD
if there's really gonna be some sort of DotA tournament im gonna own.
I thought Canadians could get into the USA for visits with as little as whatever they have that passes for a drivers license/government issued ID card.
I know I can get into Canada with just my state issued ID card.
PAX is in august... i thought it was in april dammit! Oh well that gives me time to get more funds and more ppl :P
Oh and by the way... the legal drinking age in canada is 18 :P haha

Yeah it was just a small worry anyways. Last year my routine was to pop into the tabletop room, look for a game. Then either play a game or two, or failing to find a game pop out to the PC area (which was just around the corner) or the exhibition hall. Or I'd go watch the console gamers (didn't play any 'cause of the lines and I never had enough cash on hand as I try to avoid carrying cash). So I am a little disappointed I will have to commit more to one activity but I know I will have fun despite.

Which is the "new hotel across the street"?
That one thats been under construction during the last two PAXes, hopfully its a little cheaper then the Doubletree, which was why I stayed at the Bellevue Lodge the last couple years, which was camped out on the Meydenbauer's ass... The new hotel, whatever it is, would be great though, since its right fucking there, making the table-top rooms not too far away whenever you wanted to check it out... Its certainly the best location buts its all going to come down to the price of the place...

Given the location, I am sure they hope to capitilize on the convention goers staying there. I doubt it will be cheap at all, or rather it will force the hotels farther away to offer better rates to remain competitive.

General apprehension about going and having a shitty time.
It's has happened to me more than once.
Not this convention but others.
As long as you don't hole yourself up and not talk to anyone, you'll have a great time.
You can be on your own and have fun too, but just don't do it the hole time. Play some games against people. Go to some parties. Try and find a group of people to hang out with.
It's easy to do. And you'll have a blast there if you do.

Can we get the chemicals in. 'Cause anything's better than this.
Dude, PAX was the first convention I had ever gone to. I thought that at first I was going to regret it. But I went and I had the time of my life. I met lots of cool people, and got pwned at the tourney's. But every year i look forward to going to PAX, just so I can play the new games, and get great swag, and buy cool stuff, and meet cool people, and get pwned at the tourney's, and get tons of new stories to tell to my cheap ass friends who are too stupid to go to PAX, even after I tell them how awesome it is. Just go, and you will have an awesome time, because there is so much to do, and so many people to meet, and so much random crap that happens.
PAX has a great social element to it, that other cons sometimes lack. I assure you, if you attend you will feel very much at home, for you will be among your people.

we still have his sandles in my closet!!!
we should bring them this year!
A nice-sized house I rent in Seattle, 10 or 15 minutes from the convention center. Karaoke, games, and (for those of age) a wet bar!
Sounds awesome!!
SmallLady!! Bring Cheeto's sandals!!
They cast a shadow like a sundial in the morning light. It was half past 10.
Are you sure you want to post this here? You might get 500 people showing up at your crib.
I think that's the plan

I am so IN!!
so what horrid things should we do to cheeto's sandles to entertain ourselves?
suggestions?
Build a lead lined case around them as if to suggest that they are in fact toxic.
Before you make that offer, I suggest asking anyone who met me last year if they think wrestling me is a good idea. :P
He's very big.

I am 6 feet, one inches.
This man dwarfed me.
