that's how it always happens. i never fail to be mystified as to how anyone who's been here longer than a few months doesn't know exactly what happens when the forums are borked. it's the same set of errors every time...
Posting seems to work (even if you get the error), the thread and forums indexes just aren't updating though. So even threads on the bottom of Page 1 or on page 2 are being replied to, but they don't move.
I do remember the same thing was happening with my ol' 100k post forum years ago. MySQL table & index checks really helped.
Word list becomes really huge and if you clean it, you might lose "SEARCH" but regain stability back.
So, I just discovered that when this word matches crap is going on, and a thread is stuck at post XX24, XX49, XX74, or XX99 you can just go up to the URL in your browser window and change the "&start=" value to "&start=XX25" or "&start=XX50" or whatever, and it will pop you to the new page and fix the problem.
I can't be the first person to think of this--has anyone else been using this fix all along?

In the AC, I had an art dump thread, and I found it, and I added to it, but the board screwed me with the no word matches, but then it worked but I had accidentally posted twice, so then tried to delete a post, and then my entire thread just disappeared from the boards... ...WTF?! I did this at 1am last night, and checked today. The thread doesn't exsist. So I just tried to make a new thread, and it's doing the same hting to me, and threads I make won't show up at all.

I don't think a new topic's necessary for this one, but does any one else get the message, "Could not obtain matched posts list," When they try to search?? I noticed it starts happening when the Cannot insert new word matches is happening.
People need to learn that they're still posting when this error happens. The last page of G&T's Silent Hill thread has two quadruple posts, and some guy in SE++ made 5 of the same thread. I've never even seen a quadruple post before.

Sometimes my posts don't show up at all, I just tried to post in another thread like 10 times and nothing has happened for an hour. I wouldn't be surprised if this ost didn't show up at all. Holy crap, it worked!

I just did that in the G&T Chat Thread, and it seemed to work for me... is anyone else fixed?
