this is my first year at PAX, since I don't drink I would like to volunteer to be a DD for ant team. Just let me know.
Please don't take this personally but due to the fact that the last few crawls have had issues with people who volunteered these positions are only open for people that I know from previous events. However if it gets to a point where we need more help I will keep you in mind. Thank you for your enthusiasm!

I understand, would I still be able to tag along and meet a few new people?
and i was thinking about bringing the equivalent of a med pack in case anyone is in sudden need of care.
like water. nausea meds. hand sanitizer. excedrin (and ibuprofin for you aspirin intolerant people).
some napkins too. somehow they are always needed when out drinking.
plus some snacks and stuff.
Be sure to be careful handing out ibuprofen if someone has reactions to aspirin. They are very chemically similar and many people react the same to them. My sister was in the ICU for a week after making that mistake
oooOOooh. thank you for pointing that out! i didn't know they were so similar.
i'll be sure to find something safe. and just bring that so i don't risk mixing them up!
thanks again!

I am new to this but wanted to meet some people at PAX this year. I was there last year but stayed pretty much to myself. Even with BYOC. Anyways, I look forward to being involved and making more out of the trip this year.

I absolutely respect your caring nature and wanting to help people out. However, I STRONGLY advise against handing out medication, even OTC, as you can be held liable and sued if anyone has a serious allergic reaction. This is the reason that places like pools and libraries won't hand out meds to patrons, even if they have them on hand. I know we'd like to think that every single person in the PAX community is cool and wouldn't do that, but you have to CYOA (cover your own ass).
Water, hand sanitizer, napkins, TP, maybe bread. All great ideas.

actually after giving it some thought i'd already reached that decision.
i'm used to being the one in the group of friends that always has excedrin in my bag, so my initial reaction was to make sure i have it.
but this isn't my group of friends who i know aren't allergic.
sooo yeah. not bringing any. lol
thanks for lookin out for me though! i greatly appreciate it!

Pokemon Costumes!
Hi there. Until recently I didn't really know what a Pokemon was but then I was inspired to learn more about them and to eventually construct a costume which would show off just how saucy Pokemon can be. It turns out that Pokemon are rather rambunctious creatures and I challenge everyone to bare it all, deal with the frigid temperatures, and come dressed in costume. You know that you want to.
Need inspiration? Well I can't guarantee that I can inspire you, but is a picture of some pretty awesome people in some equally awesome PokeCostumes

@Ga1Friday is the twitter account I use to talk about everyday things. Sometimes work things. Lots of work things.
I am going as a trainer, the basic Ash shirt and hat. And to show some team Squirtle pride I have a plush Squirtle I can hook from my belt. I will just wear a long sleeve shirt underneath and bring a coat along with me.
It snowed at PAX last year so I would be prepared for anything.
I was thinking of going as a Bird Keeper or a Super Nerd (or an engineer-- since my favorite pokemaaan OF ALL TIME is Magnemite. Mostly the cute factor, the fact that it floats, and well. Falls in love with Pikachu.)
I may just wear my !red pants and just a t-shirt + 20,000 layers. I mean. Isn't it going to be freaking cold?!
My costume may just be a themed hat. For example, A SLUGMA AS A HEAD-WARMING DEVICE.

Guess I'll be covering something other than my head with my turtle shell if that's the case.

Seriously, I was there a couple of months ago for a friend's birthday and all I could think was "It just... isn't... the same!"

I'll be in costume, but as a trainer instead. With a cape to wrap myself in case it's chilly!
I am juju's +1. She mentioned that she wanted me as an assistant? You can verify that with her if you want.
I CANT WAIT TO DRINK WITH MY FELLOW NERDS IN MY OWN BACKYARD~
