That's funny because I thought maybe it might be, but couldn't figure out the connection. I should have just gone with my instincts.

someone needs to give statue of liberty men in black flash, and everyone forgets what they're doing and looks awkward.

IDK what that means, but someone should do it. I'd do it, but I don't have my tablet here. :(

someone should scale the image by 2/3 and then fill in the remaining space

Yeah, it's getting worse the more times it gets compressed as a jpeg.

I tried to add Cthulhu fighting the statue of liberty, but the end product looked more like someone vomitted snot onto the picture :(

Whether they find a life there or not, I think Jupiter should be called an enemy planet.

When you paint on it, blow it up (dpi to 300) so you can edge clean and then compress it. Its easier to paint on it that way.

I used tinypic initially and it didn't start out looking that awful, but now it looks pretty horrible and has been compressed more than half what it was originally I think. Although I did make some artifacts much worse, like whatever's going on on the left, it's current state is embarrassing to even a total noob like me.

I've re-uploaded my original to a different site. It's not great, but far better than what my first post is now.

Sorry to anyone that's been trying to work with it.

Would it help with the loss if we switched it to png?

I mean, not retroactively, obviously, but for future generations. Think of the children.

Yeah, PNG is a lossless compression format. It would get rid of the artifacting, but increase the file size. Choose your poison!
