I put myself down for a maybe. Think I'll be arriving into Boston quite early on Thursday morning, and am stlll in negotiations with regards to how to approach a day of sightseeing. The mention of Cheers has put considerable weight behind this idea, however.
I should likely be able to attend. I'm a little dubious on the whole "Plenty of Space" comment though. I work right by Fan Hall and it tends to be slammed around lunch.

You're right that we won't get one single spot to ourselves. It'll be a question of creating ad hoc geekclusters, sprouting forth from the ground like hardy fruit.

Also, a reminder, this is a really good place to meet up with people who are on the Magical Mystery Tour, as they will be there at the same time. It'll be GEEKTASTIC!
mm if this is at quincy market there are a bunch of discounts offered if you have a charlie card (might as well get one if you're taking the T in Boston, just find a card around the machine and refill it)
some places are food in the food hall thing and some aren't:
Sign me up! I'm going to be flying in at 11:50AM, I might miss out on some food but I need people to hang out with because everyone I know is either A.) Not arriving until after 2PM and B.)Friends have work and college.

So a question, the best way I see of getting to Quincy market from around the BCEC, is as follows:
Silver Line SL2: WTC - Southstation
Red Line: Southstation - Downtown crossings
Orange Line: Downtown crossings - Haymarket
Is this the best way or am I missing something?
Looking forward to seeing you all there on Thursday!!!
The Orange Line's State St station is closer (and one stop sooner).
Thanks punzie! So stoked about this!

According to the MBTA trip planner... wait, what the...
ok, that's odd. It says take Silver line to South, Red from South to Downtown, then a bus from Downtown to just past Faneuil Hall. And if I tell it rail only, it says walk to South, take Red to Downtown, and then walk from Downtown. Is something going to be wrong with the Orange line this weekend?
I'm in! Late again, but this month has been rather hellish. >.>; And is there a place to park? I seem to be one of the only people driving around Boston. Not that this was a good idea...

If I were you, I would just park outside of Boston at like Riverside in Newton and pay for the overnight parking and take the train into the city. Riverside is a green line and will take you right to Fanueil Hall. I have always parked at Riverside and never had a problem there with any of the cars I had

I'm assuming that it would just be easier to park my car at my hotel (in Bedford) and take the T in and traverse around the city by foot/public transportation. But since I drove around the city last year and that combination of words is a joke where I come from, I'll need a little help with that. And I heard paying for parking can get a little expensive if you're doing it all three days of the actual convention.
If you can take public transportation it's a better thing to do. Parking in Boston is expensive for the con days or any days for that matter. You are a brave soul to attempt driving in Boston.

I did it last year and wanted to rip my hair out. XD Mostly I wanted to rip other peoples' hair out. >.>; I suppose I should buy a pass, then. Can I do that at any station? Better yet, is there a website so I don't have to ask so many questions? :P
