Yes Shattered Memoires has some of the best uses of the Wii-mote of any game.
Even in games like Galaxy, which is a really solid first party game, the Wii-more controls feel pretty seconday to the game. Whereas in SH: Shattered Memories it feels intergal to the experience.
The only single player game I can recommend on the Wii is Fire Emblem, assuming you like srpgs.
As for multi player none of the game really have the longevity of previous games like N64's 007 and mario kart or Saturn Bomberman. that being said Tetris get the most multi player play in my house.
Pikmin 1 and 2 if for some reason you didn't get 'em on the gamecube back in the day
Twilight Princess
Resident Evil 4, i had it on cube, but its worth re-buying
Boom Blox or Boom Blox party/whatever its called, best game on Wii, bar none.
World of Goo on the Wii Store, actually, this is the best Wii game, but it aint exclusive
oh and
Deadly Creatures... if you see Metroid Prime Trilogy grab that as well.
