Spike: Twilight’s assistant/friend/baby dragon/personal mail system. Though he’s supposed to be helping Twilight study magic, his job is mostly to provide snark. He’s also one of only two legacy characters in the series, thanks to Hasbro losing the licenses to the old ponies. The other one is... [...] Applejack:
I might just be misreading this, but aren't Princess Celestia, Princess Twilight, and Nitemare Moon also "Legacy"? I don't really know what that means either, it means they were in the original shows, right?
Twilight Sparkle is loosely based on Twilight from the original series, and Rainbow Dash is likewise based on Firefly from the first MLP series. I think Princess Celestia is new, though, as I'm fairly certain there's never been a combination pegasus/unicorn pony before.
Oh neat, I just looked up Pinkie Pie's VA on IMDb, and she also did X-23's voice in X-Men Evolution. Learn something new everyday

This show is way too fucking saccharine for me to get through. I acknowledge that the production values are good though. I'd rather see more Foster's.

maybe because its solely aimed at entertaining preschool girls
Sabre, did you trade the happy meal ponies back if you got one your nieces already had? Is that still the custom? I haven't needed to collect happy meal toys since beanie babies were a thing.

Don't know if they do that. What I did instead was go to the McDonalds, see which ones they had in stock, and then buy the ones we didn't already have directly, without the meal around it. Much faster that way.
I would like to pause for a moment, to talk about my penis.
My penis is like a toddler. A toddler—who is a perfectly normal size for his age—on a long road trip to what he thinks is Disney World. My penis is excited because he hasn’t been to Disney World in a long, long time, but remembers a time when he used to go every day. So now the penis toddler is constantly fidgeting, whining “Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How about now? Now? How about... now?”
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.

Whippy I thought you were going to send your package away.
After watching the pilot I think they could've gotten more "grown-up friendly" storylines out of keeping Nightmare Moon as an antagonist.

Really? MLP? The designs are cute but I couldn't really get through the pilot. It wasn't bad but I didn't find it very interesting or funny. Is there another episode worth watching?
the pilot is easily the worst part so far, for what it's worth
it largely represents the direction the show was originally supposed to take
a sort of "sailor pony" thing that they thankfully abandoned

Oops I meant Princess Luna, not "Princess Twilight."

I'm fairly sure she's new to this series too. By being able to use Applejack and Spike, they could use the same name and the same design (more or less). All of the other characters could use aspects of the originals, but not the same names.

I prefer an MLP conversation with less talk of *shudders* ..."candy vag"
Shipping is always stupid and horrible.
and what's the deal with handling
i don't need you to handle my package, mr. mailman, i've got my wife at home to do that for me
But ponies . . .
Hee hee, this is delightful.
You made me chortle.

Nah, their aim was slightly wider.

Satans..... hints.....
what?
It's very charming.
I'll probably watch the second half of the pilot tomorrow, which I didn't expect when I clicked play.
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.
Their loss, I suppose.
That's why she's a princess!

I haven't actually seen the show.

i saw this episode as a blah blah racism episode, but this song saved it and made me watch the whole episode again with a better attitude
here's a zebra. from africa. she's different. let's not trust her. oh she's doing voodoo. oops we're wrong she's cool.
Eh, it was okay?
I wasn't really interested in any of the characters. The animation was really nice but most of the gags fell flat.
I liked Pinkie Pie, though.

This makes soooo much sense
Thank you.
Twilight: She only has one cat.
Pinkie: Give her time.
might cruise on over to the Homestuck thread and see what they can whip up, crossover-wise
Already done. I do not have the images on hand however.
what
anyway Sabre finally broke me, I am watching the first episode of this, seeing what all the hubbub is about
If it weren't for Rarity's fabulosity, I would have gone with <3him<3:
