Do we have any information on how long the Golden Theater mode is? I'm thinking about picking up the game on release, but I don't want to be burned with a 10 hour scenario. If a game costs $60, I should be able to play it for at least around 40 hours.

Hashino said it's a 20 hour game, give or take. Keep in mind it has a hard difficulty level, too, and multiple endings.

Sheep dude, the straight talker who serves as your guide in the game and at the official site, says, "Hello. I'm Sheep. Do you know of this scary rumor? Those who share spoilers about Catherine will have nightmares and die. Scary, scary. Everyone, to avoid nightmares, let's not post spoilers."
Sheep dude seems to be particularly concerned about spoilers from the game's 8th night and beyond.
In lieu of this request, I won't be streaming my playthrough of the game.

In all seriousness, Atlus JP has outright stated they will be getting videos that spoil Catherine removed, and have requested that people not stream the game. I'm sure people will anyway, of course, but I feel I should respect their wishes.

The creators have a vested interest in not having the mystery of the game destroyed. 428 had a let's play taken down off of niconico for the same reason.
I could so go for another game that has a mysterious story. After 999, I'm kinda digging these stranger ways of telling stories in games. I don't care when it comes out, but it's a guaranteed 1st day buy for me.
If they don't want the game being spoiled, I'm sure they have a very good reason for it. I say don't spoil it, mainly because I otherwise lack the fortitude not to look when it's revealed and I'd love to have the opportunity to be surprised when I'm playing the game.
I'm pretty intrigued by this game but...I just wish the boxart was less "make you feel like a creep if someone observes that you have ownership over this thing".

Atlus and Collabo Dining are collaborating to promote Catherine. From February 17 through March 31, the Collabo Dining in Tokyo's Aoyama area will sell an original menu consisting of cocktails themed around the Catherine characters and a "Stray Sheep" brand pizza (named after the bar that appears in the game). Those who buy these items will receive a coaster themed around the game.

White Rum, Cola, Cut Lime. Made in the motif of the Rum and Coke Vincent drinks in the game.
Catherine
Framboise, Peach, Grenadin. The framboise is apparently meant to represent deep regret and affection.
Katherine
Black Sumbuca, Milk, Cream. The black sumbuca was used because the game's developers asked for a dark colored cocktail.
Orlando
Beer, Soda, Melon, Yogurt, Cucumber. The development team requested the cucumber apparently because it has something to do with the game...
Midnight Venus
Champaign, Amaretto, Cherry. The cherry is meant to be in the image of the character's red afro.

Honestly I was confused at how fast i got it too. I expected a good while of waiting but I heard a knock and got it. I chose Fed-Ex so I mean, I guess I expected fast but not 9 AM in the morning on the day it was supposed to be released fast.

Man I fascinated by this game.
Then I hit up wikipedia and check Atlus' past record with PAL releases and I go sad. Looks like either a no-go or 6-months to a year wait after the NA release of most of their other games
For anyone looking to import. I literally don't know how to read any Japanese but I've been playing the gameplay segments and watching this stream from justintv of a guy translating the game as he goes through. It's worked perfectly so far. It is extremely extremely text heavy so if you insist on ordering you will most definitely want some direction. I mean you could go through without knowing what's going on. It's just better to know if what you're about to do will be good or bad.
Also on Normal this game is holy shit hard so watch out. It is brutalizing me. If you thought the demo was too hard on easy then stick with easy when you play because Normal is like 15 steps up from that. I don't even want to know how Hard will be.
Regardless. Crazy stuff. Very fun game. Awesome story. This stuff is crazy. I love you Atlus.

So far the story isn't terribly interesting, but I'm only a ltitle into the game. The contrast between ingame graphcs and the animated cutscenes is really jarring, I wish they just stuck to animating everything in-engine.
Really minor spoilers
Actually, after beating a puzzle you find yourself on a platform. To proceed you need to go into a confessional where a man will ask you some question about your life. For example, "Do you think marriage is the beginning or the end of your life?", then you must pull a rope to indicate your answer. What's cool about this is that the game transmits the data to PSN and shows you a pie graph of how the other players answered the question. It only tramsits the data the first time you answer the question.

There is a separate case that contains the soundtrack/OST combo pack with the game. So yes. You do get it if imported.
