Once I get some time and a space to lay the board out, I'm looking to go recruiting myself.

Having lots of tactics and leadership can make up for this. Galactica, Pegasus and the nukes can be quite effective at destroying [strike]civilians[/strike] cylons. Good luck

    Looking for input:

Should I be in the president's office so I can more efficiently take XO's and use the quorum deck, or should I head over to administration and activate Tory?

If I have to discard from her, there's a good chance that I won't be able to XO anyone.

Yeah, go check out Tory, and even if you do have to discard, you can activate the location and get some politics cards anyway. An XO for our good Admiral sounds like a jolly good idea to me as well. I don't like basestars.

Alright, now I'm going to Play Assign Arbitrator on Dee (Stiles)
    Assign Arbitrator

Action: Draw 2 Politics cards and give this card to any other player.

Keep this card in play. When a player activates the "Admiral’s Quarters" location, this player may discard this card to reduce or increase the difficulty by 3.

Drawing the politics, and getting into position to president it up!

Turn 1: President Tom Zarek (Plutonium)

Movement Step: Plutonium moves to the President's Office.
Action Step: Plutonium activates his location, drawing a card from the Quorum deck. He plays Assign Arbitrator, drawing 2 Politics cards and assigning Stiles the role of Arbitrator.

Action: Draw 2 Politics cards and give this card to any other player.

Keep this card in play. When a player activates the "Admiral’s Quarters" location, this player may discard this card to reduce or increase the difficulty by 3.
Zarek quickly gets to work with the Quorum, assigning Dee oversight roles. Meanwhile, elsewhere aboard Galactica, the Cylons haven't left the humans completely alone since their departure from New Caprica...

    Crisis Step: Cylon Tracking Device

Skill Check [10] Tactics + Piloting + Engineering
    Pass: No Effect.
Fail: Destroy 1 raptor and place a Basestar in front of Galactica and two civilian ships behind it.

    After Crisis: Activate Raiders

    Skill Check Contributions
    Destiny Deck: 2 cards
    Felix Gaeta (Darian):
Anastasia "Dee" Dualla (Stiles): 1 card
    Lee "Apollo" Adama (Dracil):
Helena Cain (Professor Phobos): 0 cards
    Tom Zarek (Plutonium):

EDIT: The number of cards you contribute should be posted in cyan; you may break order if you wish. However, once you have set your contribution, it cannot be changed. Send me the cards you have contributed and any conditional orders via PM. Cards that are played before checks must be added before you contribute, and the Skill Check will start back from the top. If you want to be really friendly, you can also post in cyan that you won't be playing such cards into the check.

Don't forget that you still have your movement phase to activate an ally if you want.

I don't think damaging the basestar is the priority at the moment - making sure that the raiders don't kill civvies is. As a pilot, it's usually wasted actions to move over to raiders - you're better off letting them come to you.

I'd say a good course of action is moving over to the hangar deck and activating Kara. If it's beneficial, we get a bunch of vipers over to protect the civvies, and you can then kick over an XO to me to farm the quorum, or the admiral to take shots at the basestar (IMO not too important). If it's detrimental, then you send one either to Lee, to get in position with the civvies along with a wingman, or to Dee, and she can move the civvies to the vipers and take another action, like scouting the crises deck.

Hm, if you do xo lee, he can cag the 5 o'clock viper to the civvies and I can escort them both off the board on my turn with command. Plus then he could have two actions to do...something.

The problem with taking both civilians off the board is we'd be left with raiders attacking our battleships directly.

Still, I think I'll move over to Command and send an Executive Order (strength 2) at Lee

Nothing wrong with vipers getting attacked. That's what they're there for. It's infinitely preferable to civvies getting shot at.

I still think it would have been better to use movements to start dumping off trauma.

Not the vipers, the battleships. If there are no civilians in space, the raiders take direct attacks against the Galactica.

It's not like a one in eight chance is a huge deal though, especially when we can also dump damage on Pegasus. I see what your saying though, but remember, the civvies don't get wiped off the board after jumps anymore, so if you don't remove them, they'll build up.
