hey fashion thread can i wear clothes from land's end canvas, is that ok
because they seem to be having a sale at the moment and i really do need clothes before i leave for can't-really-buy-things-land for like 7 months. so this works out nicely. also i do like the look of a lot of their stuff, seems you know pretty standard but nice, just wondering if the quality is good. for the current prices it seems hard to go wrong tho
there's a lot of different stuff i'm looking at maybe buying, focusing on stuff i can wear while doing physical labor outside but also just whatever looks nice cuz why not. so like these pants and this jacket because i have almost literally nothing warm and it's going to be cold as fuck for a couple months and heck why not this shirt which i actually think looks bad in this pic but i predict it will look better on me cuz i like green and some shorts i won't bother linking and etc
anyway what's the word on land's end canvas, people. acceptable?
Are you a middle aged man with two kids and living in the suburbs? If yes, you can wear lands end. If not, and you decide to wear lands end anyway, there's a strong chance you'll die alone.
i guess i should clarify that i am literally going to be living in the woods for 7 months and the poofy jacket is because i don't like getting snowed on
Huh, I think I might order some things at that sale.
My advice is to not worry about the fashion for your "Living in the woods" clothes.
If you think it looks durable, comfortable, and not outright horrible - go for it.

it's my summer job that i've kept going back to since i was 16! i work in the kitchen of this camp up near yosemite and have been gradually moving up the ranks so that last year i was a 1st cook and this year will likely be managing the kitchen myself. it's the best place in the world because a) it's beautiful and b) every year the staff who get hired + come back are some of the most amazing people i've ever met, including some of my closest friends and some of the people i admire most.
it'll be potentially 7 months this year instead of just a summer because i'm going up reaaally early (two weeks from now) to help open the place up after the winter and will potentially also stay late
this camp is for realsies my favorite thing in the world + also working there is the best thing that ever happened to me but i'll quit eulogizing it cuz i could honestly go on forever
So in the next thread I might reserve a post to write about posture because it is something I have been paying attention to as of late
y/n
Posture is pretty important and will leave a good impression with most people. Ugh I used to have great posture, but now It's something that's kind of hard to get back once you lose it.
i try to have good posture but i think it is a losing battle because:
a) i'm not 100% what "good posture" is (back not hunched, face not aimed at the floor, but beyond that ???)
b) my back and neck are constantly sore due to my not having a proper chair/desk to do all my inordinate amounts of computing so i wind up hunched over the laptop kneeling on my bed
I really want to find a pair of straight-leg, dark wash, "nice" jeans...all the pairs of jeans I have right now don't dress up very well, if that makes sense.

well, what happened was that I got a few bad pairs of pants, so when i found one brand that i liked I went overboard and bought a lot
and then levis put 504's in black on sale
they're pretty nice
I hate all of my clothes and am going to have to go to school naked or never leave the house again.

almost called them slippers
my hawaiian is showing
But I'm on a horrible budget and the only thing I'm allowing myself to buy this month is a pair of shoes for a wedding I'm going to.
I don't even know about this outfit I'm wearing instead
It is like
If someone's clothes were fused with a sharpei

You shut up! Urgh
edit: ahh, its no fun being on a budget, but you're doing the right thing by sticking to it.
the former go for the former

Lands End Canvas is generally ok though

pull over, that ass is too fat (whoop whoop)
Not flat boots, flats as in the kind women wear.
I don't know if he's gay.
I don't know what to think about this. Have flats become unisex attire? Did I miss something?
