Especially thanks to the Enforcers from the Handheld Lounge on Level 1. I made a lame joke, you acted like you didn't hear it, and I got to try out Pokemon SoulSilver.
haha I remember you. Honestly, when you made the joke and walked off happily with SS I looked at my two mates and said, "Did you hear what he said?" and then both shook their heads no.

PAX enforcers are the most polite and professional event staff that I have ever encountered in my life. I love all of the enforcers I know. Except for BigRed. Lol!! Jk.

Thank you, thank you, thank you enforcers for making this a weekend to remember!! I am so grateful to PAX for making accommodations for those of us with disabilities, but I am most thankful for the enforcers who were super helpful and made me feel so at ease when asking for help in using my medical pass, which in turn let me experience events I held myself back from last year.
Backstory -- I have Fibromyalgia and a bad knee (surgery at 10). After living in denial for awhile, I finally accepted that I needed a cane 6 months ago, and bought one. I stared at it for a couple months but was still too embarrassed to actually use it. I thought I was too young for that and didn't want to appear 'weak'. After a couple falls I sucked it up and used it, but still felt embarrassed to be seen with it.
Then PAX East approached and I knew in my heart that if I didn't ask for the help PAX offers, I would miss out on a lot. So I emailed about it and walked (with my cane like a good patient) up to the Will Call desk when I arrived. My request was greeted with huge smiles and a reminder not of the rules, but that it is to help me enjoy myself. They didn't know it, but as someone who hates to ask for help, that encouragement meant so much. After that, all enforcers continued to be wonderful! I was at the Manticore theater a few times both Friday & Saturday, and the same great group were there both times, recognized me, and took care of me. The Naga enforcers on Saturday and the Wyvern enforcers on Sunday were also fabulous. Saturday night for the Omegathon & Concerts, Doc the enforcer was so very nice. Upon hearing we were celebrating our 15th Anniversary, he made sure that my husband and I could sit together. He also was extremely attentive to everyone in the medical area, checking if we needed anything.
I know I'm gushing, but I can honestly say that I would not have had such a fabulous time without the enforcers. I'm really sore from all the walking (so worth it though!), so the queuing would have done me in and made panels & concerts impossible (like last year). So THANK YOU!!!
An especially big thank you to the enforcer at the talking classics panel. I gotta say, this was my 4th PAX and what happened in that panel was the only bad experience I've ever had. That attendee was obviously looking for attention and approval, and I doubt it was the first time he put someone down in order to boost himself up. We don't need those kind of people at PAX.
Anyway, thanks to all the Reds. All of you were a huge help and couldn't have been friendlier.
Enforcers, you were all incredible. I talked to MANY of you, and every single one of you was friendly and knowledgeable, going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were all having a great experience.

Super-huge shout out to the enforcers, you guys are wonderful and make things flow super-smooth. An extra shout-out to the shall be unnamed enforcer who was kind enough to give an ailing geek a bottle of bawls. It really helped me get through that day! You are all incredible scholars and gentlemen!
All of you guys were awesome! Kudos to all of your hard work. I'd especially like to thank the enforcers who frequented Merman, as one said I basically lived there for three days. You guys rocked!

It was a blast playing music for everyone during /dance on Saturday Night! I owe a lot of thanks to the attendees that came out and enjoyed the music, making that night one of the best nights I've had Enforcing at PAX. Thank You guys as well.
Also, I'd like to Shout Out to Redstar for allowing BYOC to use his Sound System. Woot.
There will be /dance at every PAX East (and possibly a little music as well during PAX Prime, though I think I'll bring the Dance Contest back at Prime as well).

She's hypoglycemic, and didn't have time to get a proper medical pass, we really appreciate what you did! Thanks to you guys she had an absolutely wonderful Saturday concert!
Thanks to the Enforcers, I was able to find the Jamspace in time to see Bit Shifter. It was an awe-inspiring show I wouldn't have seen in it's entirety without them. Thank you all for making PAX a lot less hectic than it could've been without you. Could you imagine PAX with 60,000 lost gamers trying to find their way in that building?

Also super effective: follow the Official PAX Twitter. I recommend having SMS updates turned on if your phone allows for unlimited texts, since off-season updates are few and that will nigh guarantee you to see ASAP when the call goes out.

I wanna thank the enforcers at the PC freeplay booth for giving up a forum badge even though my wife didn't remember the answers to the questions (she really IS a forumer, honest). We'd had a hell of a time getting to the con, our brains were a bit scrambled, and it was touching that you were willing to compromise.
Next year there will be quizzing on the ride down.
All the thanks and the 's in this thread are SO appreciated. I want to make a shout out to each and every attendee this year. You guys were all contagious vectors of awesome! See you all at Prime!
I've attended PAX for seven years. It's been awesome to see the same ones year in and year out, in Seattle and Boston. Enforcers work so hard behind the scenes to tirelessly make PAX run smooth... they rock.

Seriously though, not only are the Enforcers and Cookie Brigadiers two good volunteer corps to remember in times of insulin/blood sugar emergencies, they are two of the best volunteer groups at most conventions. I may be biased, as the only other con I've been to was the Arnold Fitness Expo [talk about TRUE sausage-fest], but a group whose sole responsibility is to carry cheap sugary delights and a group who basically runs the show in the most polite manner? We're like the PAX Wonder Twins...
But enough about the Brigade, the Enforcers are the real backbone of this weekend of awesome. So thank you to all of the Enforcers. Next PAX East, expect more confectionery goodness to appear magically from nowhere. We owe you guys.
