Our New Video Review Site

Been years since I made my way on here but I do remember this being a great place to get some serious criticism.

We started our own post apocalyptic themed review site focusing mostly on video reviews. We recently launched and we're looking for feedback on the videos. We're happy with the site design and because we just launched changing it up (expect maybe the background) is a lot of work.

The videos though, these can change. We're new to this and though we're all designers, we're not TV show personalities and we're trying to find what speaks best to our audience.

If you guys could let us know what you think and how we could improve I'd really appreciate it.

    I'd love to look at your videos. I write the daily news feed for a zombie media site.

    You need to post the actual videos in the thread though, and not just a link.

    I'm going to comment on the screencap, then. That's a really nice colorscheme and layout. It has sort of a Giant Bomb feel to it and that's a compliment. It looks very professional, yet casual.

    But yeah, if you want editing tips and stuff, post the videos here directly.

    the guy holding the backpack has the same pose in every splash frame, but it does look very professional

    Are you talking about the banner images? We use the same "profile" shot for those and switch them depending on who did the review. Maybe taking a picture specific to every review would be better?

    done and done! Thanks for the tip. Yeah we want a very approachable feel to the site. We're all graphic and web designers and we've done our share of boring so this is a chance for us to have some fun.
