I'm watching the last (or latest) episode of Being Human. Holy fuck!
Shit, they're not on iplayer any more
Did you see they've made a terrible looking spin off called Becoming Human? It's a teen version of the exact same concept.
What??
Well that isn't quite what the spin-off was, but it was only one episode (or eight mini-episodes for online edited together for one BBC Three broadcast).
So glad I made sure to read through the offer they sent me.
They gave me a minuscule raise over last year, but removed holidays, so I'd be getting even less than last year despite the raise. So now I should be getting a fresh offer.
*shakes fist*
Still, can't wait to be working again.

I think this happens to any artist at some point. Put out enough stuff and you just kinda run out of steam. Unless you pull of Phillip K. Dick and die before you hit that point.
You are right, of course. Still, sometimes it's so sad to see. Like Byrne, for instance.
Byrne is actually still very talented - some of his recent sketches show that he's still got it. He's just batshit crazy.

I was talking about his writing, mainly. One of my favorite comics is still a FF story from his era. The one where they have a threeway fight with Gladiator and the X-Men (Skrulls).

We should get him and Miller together.
And Neal Adams!
Get them all to drop LSD when when they are working on their sections. That's how we take it to 11. I can just see the marketing pitch for this..."Were Miller, Byrne, and Adams high when they wrote this? Yes they were!"
I have been told I do a perfect impression of Hulu advertising voiceover guy. "This show is brought to you with limited commercial interruption... by a ghost!"
I'm still comparing prices from home to prices from Boston. Some interesting stuff, there. I still can't believe a week of public transport only costs 15$, for instance.
The Free Market!
It's like one day, two tops over here. Astounding. Food varies greatly. Restaurant prices are about the same, takeout and fast-food is a good deal cheaper.
restaurant prices in boston are fairly expensive by US standards
Sometimes I feel wikipedia explains things in ways that could similarly be used to explained stuff to our future alien overlords who have no concept of humanity.

David: Laura, upon looking at the first page of issue #6, I've had something of an epiphany: Whoever Bruce is talking to on the first page of each issue is clearly tied to a chair and gagged.

It's puff, puff, pass. Now the big question for serious stoner cred, does one pass to the left or the right?

Ah, ok. I have no idea how grocery prices are, since I wasn't cooking. I just have to assume they're cheaper as well.
Who is failing? I can't tell. I mean, I recall it being "puff, puff, give" not "puff, puff, pass".
Thank you for making me smile Mim
It's "pass" although I'm not sure there's an actual codified set of stoner lingo out there and either one really works with the idea behind them (don't fuck up the rotation)
And now I'm having flashbacks to highschool.

the dragon age guys sometimes sound like they have to buy their own pens
I guess the first game and its nine-year dev cycle nearly bankrupted the company
but they have all that ME money now
that's true, and DA:O actually sold even more copies than ME2, but if it wasn't enough to turn a profit on a super-protracted development I guess I could understand why someone up high would be cracking the whip on them to cut corners and costs.

I may have to take matters into my own hands.

What??
Yeah it's with that kid from earlier on in series 3:

I have honestly never heard "puff, puff, pass".
This is like finding out other people say "pop" instead of "soda".

We always passed to the right if I'm remembering right?
Smokey: Puff puff, give. Puff puff, give. You fuckin' up the rotation.
Is what Chris Tucker's character says to Ice Cube's character. Thus, I have only known it as "give" and not "pass"
we heard all this shit about how ME2 was going to be DLC heaven and there have been like what, four pieces of any substance?
