See, I see people are able to post comments on tumblrs (like Yuko Ota and Aaron Diaz), so would that make it less twitter-y (which I have and I like twitter but that's a good point).

I see your point. It does seem that each particular forum has its own group of regulars and while many people regularly visit more than one, they identify with a particular forum all the same. So putting a thread here may in practice cut out a huge portion of interested parties as unless someone organises them they will not bother to participate in a different forum

It doesn't always happen, and when it doesn't the thread just crashes and burns. Although I think it's generally because rather than discussion topics they tend to be angry rants.

My Facebook is awesome lately. Everyone comments and likes my statuses and I get friend requests from people I know and shit. Facebook at its best is basically a little like a less shitty Twitter, I think.
