The first INcontrol vs select match is on but keeps starting over shortly after the match starts.
This is the second time I've seen the stream re-start the same match.
Maybe testing stream?
dunno...

They usually rebroadcast the earlier games after the games are over but it's broken, apparently.
nani had already dropped a game to machine yesterday guys
This is incorrect, it was human error when inputting round results. If you check the replays for the matches vs machine, he 2-0's machine and the third is actually a replay of him beating drewbie. He didn't lose until the finals.
on a more related to play note: i have been noticing that most of my game wins are me basically turtling up to 200/200 mix of you know, gateway/colo/air unit of choice (phoenix for t, void ray for z usually) and then just attacking
i feel like this might be a flaw in my play, and was wondering if aggression or scouting could be ways to make it better? does anyone have advice as to whether it is a valid concern, and if so, what could I do to help it out
i mean, i'm winning
but that's usually either due to macro wins (ie i attack at 200 food with good upgrades and the opponent is at 160 food with no upgrades) or small tactical elements (them being out of position, me getting some really good forcefields, a bad unit comp against mine, etc)

edit: this is excluding pvp
Try mixing in warp prism drops or early phoenix/void ray or DT or blink harass while maintaining your macro. It will force you to micro and macro at the same time rather than the sort of macro-focused turtling you may be used to. Use hallucinate for scouting if you're not picking up an early obs, or even to supplement an obs. It might sight a turret and save you a costly observer death.
P.s., while I own the thread, I'll be updating rotd every morning so people can submit replays of their nightly exploits. Make sure you post today to make the cut for tomorrow~.

I wish I had a replay from my tournament yesterday... I 4 gated a masters protoss who defensive 4 gated, and I played a perfect game (did not lose a single unit).
It was pretty slick.

Damn, I thought after beating Huk that IdrA would get his shit together and play a good tournament. Instead, he does that. Worst attitude in gaming. Just shameful.
Pretty much.
This is straight up wrong. TLO proxied 2 rax and Idra didn't have enough to hold it when the game lagged. Idra forfeiting instead of forcing the refs to regame shows class, and a better attitude than he's probably ever shown before.

Hey now, this is Idra, if he ever does anything it is BM.

That is professional as hell, and I give him credit for that.
That notwithstanding, I think eSports in general needs to stop emulating wrestling. There's no reason for the players to be such violent thunderqueefs to each other - if the game itself doesn't provide the drama then you're doing it wrong.
while i agree that thunderqueefs is a pretty great word
i'm kind of mixed on bm being a thing with starcraft
while sure, as a professional sport, it should definitely find a way that this stuff comes out in games naturally, and not through words and actions by the players outside of the game (and in game chat obscenities don't count)
but in terms of how starcraft has grown, with bnet and with how the communities have formed
its kind of like a roots of it type of thing?
i don't know
when i think about it honestly, i'm quite split on the issue. however, if organizations care about it, they should implement enforced rules about in game chat and such (like in korea, where you can only type in like glhf, gg, ww, and ppp or else you get disqualified)
not enforcing rules really isnt the route to professionalism if that is your end goal
So I watch some MLG, go to bed, get up, go to uni, have fun at uni, come home and I've missed the rest of the previous thread and another 3 pages of people bitching about idra.

Thanks for that, Idra.
if you're only staying on 2 base you need to find some good times to attack, things like 5 or 6 gate pushes against z etc
been watching people use it all mlg, never even occurred to me to start getting it
everyone was pretty awkward in edwardstarcaft's interviews
i just think its him projecting his awkward onto them
i mean, compare edward's interview with idra and mrbitter's
mrbitter's is totally more natural
One false move and a stiff breeze will blow him away.
